2006 Scion iPod HU Cable

It is a direct plug and play swap. but the 4Runner does not have the harness to supoort the Ipod link.

THOSE ARE NOT THE CABLES!!! Those cables the cables that already come with the deck. We need a third cable that goes from the deck to the harness on the dash/glove box adaptor which in turn goes to another cable that goes to the iPod. people... people... we know that cable is not out there! we appriciate the effort... but us that know know that there is no cable available yet. you know? =)

Ok...guess the guy selling them doesn't realize that we need the third cable. Just trying to help ya'll :)
 
The long and the short of it is that there will not be a part number for what we are looking for. The connector we are looking for is thechincally part of the body wiring harness of the 06 Scions ($$$).

The only ways we can the connector is get to take it off a 06 scion or for someone to fabricate one.
 
I got a non ipod 06 HU from a guy on scionlife and he included a wire to connect the Aux plug. He wired the connector in the back with enough wire to run it into my center console. I cut a hole and snapped in the aux plug. It works great with my MP3 player. Is that what you guys are talking about?

that is what I am looking for. Can you give me more specifics as I want do get the aux cable to work in my 04 4runner that has the 06 scion headunit. Any details will be greatly appreciated

I don't know if anyone cares about this still or not, but the company that supplies the wiring and connectors to Toyota for the Ipod adaptor is named Hirose.

I'm currently digging through it, I figure all we need is the connector that plugs into the back of the radio and a wiring diagram and we are in business.

I'm still interested. I have all the plugs except for that one we're all missing -- the one that goes from the back of the radio to the ipod cable.

I'm glad you haven't given up either!

Hadn't responded in awhile, no luck on my end and really hoping someone pulls through on this one!!! Any luck from the guy currently spaeking with the harness manufacturer?

Sorry it took so long to write back, just been busy. But the wire is already installed and i don't feel like ripping apart my car again.

I got the radio from a guy on scionlife named crayonbox. let me know
 
iPod solution

If you are interested in purchasing iPod adapters for your 98-06 4Runner, please give me a call at Interactive Electronics 561-239-6105. The adapter uses the dock connector to send audio directly into the 12 pin connector on the back of the stereo. It also charges the iPod and you can control the iPod track using the track up and down buttons.

i am assuming this is the same as the ones that come in the 06 scions and not just another one that hooks to the cd changer
 
iPod mod.

This module is aftermarket and does not display text. It uses the audio from the dock conn. and integrates into the radio using the 12 pin source plug on the back of the radio. it controls the iPod as if it were a CD changer. It also charges the iPod.
 
tommytoe, if you guys are the manufacturers of those maybe you would be interested in making the wiring harness we need. i dont think it is that hard, all we really need is someone to fabricate the 16 pin connector the rest is just matching up the wire colors. Im sure we could get enough people together who are interested in purchasing too.

This is a good idea - there are tons of people in need of said harness. We really do just need someone to make it.
 
Scion HU AUX-out wiring?

Heck with the plug and harness... I am ready to just solder the wires up to the correct pins on the 16-pin connector. Can somebody hook me up with the pin-outs or a diagram of the connector so I can do this? I haven't been able to find this info anywhere.
