2010 Limited leftover offer price?

Not a penny over 39,000 out the door it shouldn't matter about the year as much as milage be hard headed when negotiating and stick to your guns they will start talking all kinds of mess about this that and the other thing but it's all bulls**t if they have had a 2010 this long then they should be looking to get rid of it don't be too eager and don't be afraid to walk away trust me they will get back to you.
 
Thanks. The thing is i got an offer for a 2011 limited for 38k and change from several dealers and was thinking they would offer less than that for the 2010 but noooo they said that is a fair price. I emailed them some other quotes and told them bullsh*t and that if they want to get rid of it they'll go lower. I left it at that.

Knowing this what would you offer now?
 
If you have the money and the other quotes in hand it might help to just walk in let them know if they can't beat those by a decent price then walk and go to the other dealers and all ways confirm that it's and out the door price because tax will be a killer if not 38,000 and some change sounds pretty good though for a limited I paid 36,000 out the door for my 2011 trail and I haggled my a** off for like a week but the trail is more rare right now. Are you financing or do you have a pre approved loan all ready.

I would go for the 2011. If similarly equipped, the 2010 should be at least $1k less, IMO.
 
Thanks guys. I am planning on financing, so don't they make profit off of that as well? I guess I'll tell them 36K take it or leave it. I'm not too concerned because I would prefer the 2011 but only considered the 2010 if the savings were significant. Thanks again for the input.
 
After about 2 months of negotiating online and in person the best I was able to do on a 2011 Limited was 39K. I was working with 6 dealers with small inventory numbers and actually feel like I got a good deal.
 
2010 Limited Leftover offer price

My Limited was a 2010 leftover as well. I bought it in Illinios (drove up from St. Louis) and paid $38,400 out the door. They were asking 38.5 and would only come down $100 from asking price. I don't see that there will be a huge difference in resale value two or three years from now between a 2010 and a 2011 but I guess it will depend on the buyer. You would think that they would need to move the 2010's but I was told that they "have carried it for 6 months and have discounted to where we are losing money already". The window sticker on mine said $42,812 so I guess I got roughly 4k off sticker. This was a much better deal than I could fine on any 2011 and in St. Louis I couldn't find a Silver LE anywhere 2010 or 2011.

I absolutely love the damn thing though.
