This is normal functionality and (without modification) can not be disabled.

Thanks. And another question, i got the system navigation adn when i pute the reverse it shows me on the screen but i dont have any sound like parking assist, what can i do?

unfortunately you don't have park assist - just the camera.

you can only get either the camera or park assist/sonar or you can install after market ones if you really need it that bad.

fog lights turning off with high beam (which is normal for many brands) doesn't bother me as much as having to turn headlights on to get fog lights to work.

It's SR5 only feature, I don't get why Toyota doesn't install sonars on TE and LE. But I got SR5, so I'm happy : )

Yes and No. The TE & LE have the option for NAV with the LARGE screen and WIDER viewing than the mirror cam available in the SR5. IF you get the Nav the rear sonar is sort of redundant.

Correct me if I am wrong here as well, the TE & LE come STD with the back up cam in the mirror (unless you opt for the Nav) where as the SR5 it is an option in the mirror. They figure with the TE & LE you have at minimum a visual back up aid STD, but the SR5 could go either way so they just toss the sonar in.

I have an SR5 so I am happy, but I personally think that if the 4R does not have NAV it should have the sonar as the mirror cam does not show the edges of the bumper, where the sonar can still pick objects up.

That stupid mirror cam keeps my from using my common sense. I do look around first and use my mirrors but then I rely on the cam while backing up. I might not run over anything behind me but twice I've cut off joggers I didn't initially see cuz I'm looking at that !@#$ cam. I know, I'm an idiot.:violin:

As far as the Fogs go...I've quit using them. I got a lot of flashes from angry oncoming drivers because when you dip the highbeams it looks like you are turning on your driving lights and blasting them.
