Regular non-halogen taillight bulbs you don't need to worry about it much because they will never get hot enough for the oils on your fingers to do damage to the glass. BUT if you're anal like me you'll clean them off with isopropyl alcohol just for shits n giggles, lol.
 
Anybody have a spare 2010-2013 Trail pass side tail light I could buy off ya? I had a Lil too much fun on the trails this weekend

Our bathroom remodel ended up costing less than what I had planned for so ordered the tail lamps and harnesses and they came in today. I'll post up pics once they're on my rig. I'm pretty friggin excited!
 
Did the install yesterday after work and after spending 45 minutes trying to find my 10mm 1/4" drive deep socket... I really like the look and wifey approves!!! I may experiment with putting a light coat of VHT NightShades on the upper portion of the lens to maybe try and tone down the chrome a bit. I don't know yet.

Best price if have found is from Conicelli Toyota. For all four parts it is $527.32 - 10% coupon (FB10) = $474.59, with free shipping.

I have ordered from them before without issue.
 
Installed the 2014+ tail lights today, took about 1/2 hour and was really easy. Looks so much better.

Tail Swap

Hi to all,

I am joining in the 2014 tail lamp upgrade, one question though, is there a difference between the 2014 tail lamp between the SR5, Trail and Limited? I mean like the 2010-2013 where the Trail Lamps were smoked and different from the SR5 and Limited. Thanks!

I made the 2014 tails swap yesterday...it was so easy. I think they look fantastic on my 2013 LE. Part numbers and prices are still spot on through camelback toyota. Thanks to everyone who worked on this!

How does one remove the '14 tail lights? I need to access the bulbs, but seem to be having a brain fart on where I saw instructions on removing the housing.

Has anyone used Toyotaonlineparts.com before? This is the lowest I've seen the price for these tails.

TAIL LAMP | Genuine Toyota | 81551-35400

Toyotapartzone.com & Toyota Parts of dallas have them for $194, I've ordered a ton of grilles from both, so I know they're legit, but not sure about the above.
