2014 Trail Edition Accident

Now waiting to hear their settlement offer....since I had only put 100 miles on it.

Well, seeing as the property damages are ultimately going to be paid by the responsible party's insurer, I'd push for the amount you need to feel whole. We had a car totaled recently (tree fell on it), and the ACV payment offered by AllState was $3k more than owing. Good luck.

Just heard from the adjuster...it is totaled. The impact pushed metal through the firewall.

Hope your still doing ok. Glad to hear it was totaled. You wouldn't want it back after something like that. They are just never the same. Hopefully you can make some extra money on the deal too.

I'm glad you weren't injured - but I gotta' tell you, seeing those pix I am glad that I chose a 4Runner for my new rig, it was impressive to see how well it came though the accident, and the sight of all those air bags made me feel more comfortable too.

FYI, when I insured my new truck my insurance company offered me replacement coverage for an extra $31/year. Supposed to pay the full replacement cost of my truck up to when it's 4 years old. Hopefully I'll never need it.

Didn't think I would be saying this but the insurance company was more than fair....paid me more than I paid for the TE including TTL, fees and warranty. Signed the paperwork today. Have not settled the injury side....

Thats awesome, glad to hear about the vehicle settlement. Injury side, expect that to take some time. My injury settlement took about 6 months.

What are you thinking about getting, exact same color model and options?

That's great news all the way around! Not a fan of the new trail editions, but have seen 4 or 5 in a local dealer lot in Corpus.

Very nice! Would like to know what ins company you dealt with for that settlement. PM me if you prefer not to disclose it on the thread.

'14 refresh

I love Port A. I saw at least 2 white trails at the dealership out West of town off of 37. Let me clarify......I love the Trail Editions, but not the refresh of the '14.

Wow, just read this thread. Thank God you are OK mate. That is all that matters. Surely I am happy you did fine on the settlement, but in the end, only your health matters.

Looking forward to pics of your next 4Runner.

Went to look at what the local dealer had today. He has a TE in red...not sure I like that better than white.....

Can you get a Premium without the sunroof?

Unfortunately, you can't get the premium without the sunroof. I wish the sunroof was optional. I didn't want it.

Glad your ok sorry about the new yota RIP! I got the moonroof in our 11 TE has the kdss and nav jbl audio etc.. We never use it in both our 4runners but on upside they add value on backend when trading in or selling book wise. If you weren't so far from WV one of our local dealers on St. Albans has a sweet looking dark blue new 14 TE and advantage Toyota in barboursville wv has a White trail too. Happy hunting!
