2015 Dual Battery Installation

To those that have installed this, have any of you had trouble with the power steering hose contacting a coolant pipe behind the fan after relocating the power steering reservoire? Mine is, I've got it zip tied right now but am looking for a more permanent solution.
 
Thanks Keith I appreciate the help. You can see here I've got the two power steering hoses zip tied together, I did this to keep the larger hose from contacting what I believe is a coolant pipe (the polished one, pointing to it in the first photo). The fix I see is to rotate the hose on it's fitting on the power steering fluid reservoir, and/or shorten the hose slightly. Have a look. Thanks again!

I just went and looked at mine and now I see what we did differently. I actually used two zip ties (just to be redundant) and zip tied that hose to the silver 1/4" tubing that's next to the dipstick and your pencil. I left maybe a 1/4" slack in the zip ties so the hose was not actually touching the tubing due to the natural tension holding it away. This kept it from being able to touch anything, especially when off road and things have potential to bounce around. I checked everything for signs of heat related issues and none were evident.

Good to know, my hose rests on that silver tube in it's natural state.. could just be normal differences with the bends in the hoses. Thanks for checking it out for me, other than that the install went smooth. Time to get the rest of my electronics hooked up.

Thanks a ton Keith_PDX for the full breakdown. Going to try something similar. I like those ABS mounting plates. Need to find a plastic fabricator in my neck of the woods now.
 
To those of you with the ACR tray, any of you run into clearance problems with the hard radiator line? Mine is contacting the ACR and the tray still needs to move over another inch such that the holes line up, at least per the instructions. I'm using ACR part# 7622.

Die Hard battery size.

Keith, I have the Shrockworks plate installed and now time to drop in a battery. I see you went with the Die Hard Gold. I assume a 34 group? If so how did you compensate with the extra 1/2 inch length? I would really like to avoid optima, but from what I am seeing that is all that will fit. Or did you use a smaller Die Hard?
 
Whoah, why didn't I know about this tray? This is what I need to clean up my mess and corresponding post. I know it's off topic, but thanks for the good info.

Yes, with my big batt I had the same issue. That's an AC condenser line. I VERY gently bent it, no big deal.

I feel responsible to say that unless you feel confident, maybe have pipe bending tools, I don't recommend it because you can get a kink and have to discharge the system to replace.
 
The two 8mm fasteners that you see are tapped into the battery holder strap. If memory serves me correctly I also added a nut for double security.
 
These are some awesome setups!

I just picked up a free Odyssey PC2250 from a buddy and was thinking about using it for my dual battery setup. I will have to fab up a battery tray for the beast and am looking at placing it between the breather box and firewall.

It looks like I will have to remove the breather box just to install it but Im ok with that since these batteries are supposed to last for quite a while. Let me know what you guys think.

Factory battery fits?

Does anyone know if the Toyota factory battery fits in the alternate battery spot, where the Shrockworks tray goes. I have just ordered the Shrockworks tray with the air breather move kit. I was following Antman and some other folks suggestions and I have installed a monster Odyssey battery in the original battery location, and just took out the factory battery that is still tip top. I am hoping to put it into the new Shrockworks tray location but a quick look tonight seems like it might be too long???
