2015 Trail Running Boards to 2010 Trail?

I found enough information to *think* this is possible when I was searching, but didn't find the smoking gun I wanted to justify shipping running boards somewhere.

Will 2015 Trail factory running boards fit on a 2010 Trail?

I'm assuming the rocker panels are essentially the same on both since they are both Trails. The other assumption is that the body mounting holes are the same since they are the same gen.

So I requested part numbers from the local dealership this morning for running boards for both years of Trail Editions, 2010 and 2015.

It came back as the same part number:

PT938-89100

So if I would walk into a dealership today and order running boards for a 2010 or 2015 Trail, I would get the same thing.

Sounds like the 2015 boards will fit on the 2010.

Does this make sense?

shrockworks dimple plate sliders function great as steps, can take a beating for your truck w/out sacrificing ground clearance, look awesome and cost less than what toyota tried to charge me for their tube steps... jus'saying

as long as you can wait 3 months, they are worth it!

Thanks, but I am actually looking to sell my 2015 running boards, hence the question...don't give potential buyers any ideas, man!
