Hey guys I got the entune touch screen with nav without JBL audio. About a month ago every time I get into the car and start playing Pandora either through the app icon on the radio or the app on my phone it starts off skipping and I have to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth to fix it. Strange thing is I updated my software back in December so not sure why all the sudden its happening. I got an Iphone 6 ios 10.2.1

Mine does it too. I just turn off my bluetooth on my phone and turn it back on to fix the skipping problem. Yes, it is annoying.

Mine did that with my iPhone 5. I got a new iPhone 7 and it doesn't do it anymore.
Make sure your Entune is up to date and your phone is up to date. Lastly, remove the quick contacts from the head unit home screen (show only audio and map, for example). Mine has worked flawlessly since doing those 3 things when it skipped 50% of the time before.

It's on the entune site. Any name brand like Samsung or such is fine.

Actually lots of phones won't support all features, my HTC is a name brand premium phone and text messages aren't supported

My S7 works great too, mostly. It does something weird sometimes if I get to connect through the infotainment Pandora app, when I turn off the truck, the phone will start playing music, except no apps are showing open on the phone. Usually the only way to get it to stop playing music is to restart the phone.

Sometimes it works great and other times it sucks. I live in a black hole of cell reception too so it doesn't stay connected all the time. One thing that annoys me and it might have to do with it losing its connection, is always having to re-login to the app now. It used to save my login info but sometime in the last month or so I always have to input everything back in.

Have you considered a cellphone booster? I have a couple of these for my camping vehicles. They are not magic. They do help boost weak signal. The Weboost (formerly Wilson Electronics) can boost signal about 18db. I have another booster purchased at a higher price that boosts signal about 35db on 4 devices at the same time. The Sleek can only boost one device at a time.

I do have one for home. It's called and Airave. But it requires access to my home network. I've never tried of looking for a mobile solution. I might need to look into that more. I keep waiting for them to put more cell towers out here with the growing communities popping up all over. But what you are talking about might help me out in the mean time. Thanks!

I have an iPhone 6s and it would automatically start playing Pandora when the phone connected via bluetooth on the Entune Premium head unit. To stop the music, I unlocked the phone, opened the Pandora app, and pressed pause.
I replaced the Entune unit with a Kenwood stereo. It does the same thing - starts playing Pandora automatically. This behavior appears to be related to the phone - not the head unit. It's annoying to have to use the phone to pause Pandora every time I start the vehicle but I haven't been able to find a work-around.

I just called Toyota and they said with Entune there is most likely always going to be a lag with video while the system converts the video into audio only. Seems like a pretty terrible system. I never had that problem with my 2013 Tacoma but that wasn't Entune.
