Disappointed to see my Jets get the tar beat out of them On opening night but after the Pens spanking last night maybe we are in good company. Hopefully Winnipeg makes the playoffs this year. I think the pieces are coming together. I’m not sure Maurice is the right guy to steer the ship and as always our goaltending is subpar.

College hockey is about to fire up I’m really looking forward to that.

Sad to see this hasn’t gotten any replies! I was hoping to find a hockey thread and if not I was planning on starting one.

I had the chance to watch my Wild get beat by your Jets last night. Your guys looked solid. Hopefully minny will get everyone healthy again quick, the start of this season has been ugly. Neiderreiter, Grandlund and Parise all being out is hurting. Dubnyk has been shaky in net but really he’s just not getting support from the defense :ybrick:

I’m hoping they’re just getting the slump over with early this year instead of limping into the back half of the season like usual:dammit:

I kept up with the game on my phone the Jets have played well the last few games so I’m waiting for the bottom to fall out for a 4-6 game period. It’s a constant cycle with Jets 4-6 good games, 4-6 bad games over and over.

The bad thing last night was my son that’s a Wild fan was gone so I couldn’t rub it in

I'm a HUGE Flyers fan and they started the season of really well considering they started on the road for the first four games. In a two game stretch they scored 13 goals!

pretty surprised about Vegas. We'll see if they can keep that going.

Unfortunately I have to admit, they probably won't but hey, what a great start. I was a big hockey fan, played hockey, but was really put off by the last strike and hadn't watched since. Now with a new team and local, I've started paying attention again and actually went to my first couple games in years.

I have been really surprised with the Knights as well... I think we all have. I’m sure the bottom will drop out at some point in the year but we could hope not. It would be nice to see an expansion playoff team. UNLV has a great club hockey program maybe Vegas could become a great hockey town.

Only the Lightning have more points than the Kings and the Kings are still leading their/ our division.

What a great night Jets 7 Pittsburgh 1! To see Mike Sullivan hang his head when Wheeler nailed the hat trick brought joy to my face. I hope Winnipeg is about to turn a corner and become a playoff team.

They need to learn how to close they about had the Pens in Pittsburgh the other night and then led most of the game in Columbus before giving it away. I’m excited after this one though

I am very glad to see some NHL hockey back. I am still pulling for my Preds. I believe they are 5-4-2 right now so I am hoping they will step it up and get better as the season progresses.

As a Pittsburgh fan, that hurt to see. Been too many high scoring games for them this year. I think losing Flowers is going to hurt. I do like seeing him do well in Vegas. Hope that continues.

It really is crazy how fast their goalies are dropping, I'll be in Vegas in a few weeks and looking forward to attending a game at the T-Mobile arena!

My Pens definitely have a bit of a Stanley Cup hangover, not surprising after 2 years of back to back. Not panicking yet since it's just October, hoping they pull it together and start playing better soon though

My daughters Pens Sunday and my middle sons Wild tonight. Too bad Winnipeg doesn’t play the Bruins until right before Christmas. My Jets are hot against my kids favorite teams right now and I have something to aggravate them with.

And now I think the FlyBoys are showing their youth. It will be an up and down season. But the same way viewing the Sixers, I want to see growth from the kids. I don't think the current core will be the group to build around.
