Wish list aside, this is my prediction for the next-gen 4Runner, based on Toyota being pretty predictable.
- SR5, Trail Edition, Limited
- SR5 and Trail have an optional Premium package to package Softex/moonroof, etc. (same like the 2014+)
- Limited has an optional Platinum package
- TRD Pro returns during the model cycle
- Blind spot monitoring, pre-collision, radar cruise control, lane departure is optional on the Limited and included with the Platinum package
- Latest Entune with 6.1" screen on SR5 and Trail, 8" screen on Limited
- 4" monochrome LCD in gauge cluster on SR5, 4" color on Trail and Limited
- Third row optional on SR5 and Limited
- Body extended by 2 or 3" to make the third row a little more usable
- Limited includes LED DRLs
- Carryover V6 engine, but with a 6-speed automatic
BSM, PC, LDW, rear cross traffic will probably be on the LE. Pre collision & lane depart proably wont happen imo.Wish list aside, this is my prediction for the next-gen 4Runner, based on Toyota being pretty predictable.

Really? Six pages of dreaming about V8s and six-speeds and DI or diesel and no one asked for a HEATED STEERING WHEEL? Where has the sanity gone!?

That's why they have Lexus.

While that use to be a valid point, now Ford Explorers, Jeep Grand Cherokees and Kia Optimas have heated steering wheels.
The 4Runner really is an amazing vehicle and unique but it's lacking so many features that are now mainstream, it's disappointing.
Now, an Air Conditioned Steering wheel and Seats would be the ticket.![]()
so much LOL's at everyone asking for a V8. Wow those forum never changes. Then when gas get back to 4$/gallon average in the US everyone complains about how a truck is hard on gas.
I would wish for better efficiency with at least the same amount of power, radar cruise control and ventilated seats. And that they get rid of the ugly front of the new trail/SR5.

Think long and hard if you want the 4R to become more mainstream......
