285 70 R17 BFG KO2s With Load Range “C”?

I went from 265 KO2's to the 285 Cooper AT3 XLT and there is no competition, AT3's are so much better. Balance easy, quieter and ride better on the road, and after taking it to Moab no worse than the KO2 although I still need more time to test it off-road. Took Top of the World in the rain and it didn't slip one bit. I will never go back to the KO2. In terms of harshness, I haven't noticed a great difference between my C-rated KO2 and E-rated AT3's after 5000 miles. For what its worth I think it looks like a nice tire too. If the only thing that matters in a tire is appearance then sure go for the KO2. If actual performance matters then get the AT3.

Great feedback. When I got my C load 285 KO2's on my GX 460 3 1/2 years ago, I thought they were the best option at the time after extensive research and reading the reviews. But one thing that really disappointed me about the tire was relatively poor traction on wet roads, and we get a lot of rain down here.
Since then, it seems there have been a lot of good options to hit the market, including the AT3's, which didn't exist back then. It sounds like they're great in that regard ?
