3.9% Question

Not seeing any special 3.9% offers for the MID-ATLANTIC states. I'm going to call Toyota and see if (1) they plan to offer this in these states anytime soon and (2) if they aren't planning to do so, I'm going to ask if they will authorize my local dealer to give me this offer if I buy a 4Runner.

Any thoughts on #2?

I'd love to know what they say. I'm in the market for a 4Runner, but I can be patient and i'm waiting for the right time to act. Seems like we get NO deals in this part of the country.

You'd think that with the waterfall of bad press, they'd make a magnanimous gesture of SOME SORT to those of us who want to stick with them.

So I called up Toyota Financial Services at 888-445-3030 (you have to put in a fake social security number to actually get connected to a rep, who was very nice btw).

She said that it is actually the dealers that handle which offers are available and that TFS doesn't handle this [sounds strange to me, since the offers are placed on the OFFICIAL toyota website].

I also asked if they would authorize my local dealer to give me the 3.9% offer and she said that that was up to the dealer, and that the dealer could choose to match the 3.9% offer being offered in the New England States.

This should be an interesting experiment: Please try to call that number (enter a fake SSN to get a live rep) and ask them the same questions to see if anyone else gets a different response, and then please post that response here. It'd be great for the rest of us to get that offer as well

3.3 is good. I would like to see .09 to 2.9 then I will jump. I like seeing the principal getting more of my monthly payment than the bank... Maybe it will happen and maybe not and time will tell.
