Im preparing for my first 30k service, and I want to know if there are any upgrades or special things I should consider while performing this service such as plugs ect.?
I don't know what the maintenance schedule calls for on the V6, but the spark plugs on the V8 are good for 80k or 100k miles if memory serves.
One thing I would suggest doing even thought the maintenance schedule doesn't call for it is replacing the gear oil in the diffs. The rear diff at the very minimum. When I replaced the gear oil with Mobil 1 synthetic at 30k, I was very glad I did. The original gear oil was very dark and the drain plug magnets were covered with fine metal shavings.
Other than that, there isn't a heck of a lot you need to do to these 4R's at 30k. Maybe change the cabin air filter (they get dirty, quick!). Also, I would lube the 6 fittings on the drive shafts if you haven't done that yet either.
thanks guys for the info. the v-6 does call for plugs, and I was planning on replacing the diffs with mobile 1 as well. two questions though, first, is their a plug aside from the OEM Denso's or NGK that would give any benefits? Two, with our rear diffs and center locking diff, do I need to add any friction modifier, or is regular Mobile-1 ok?T

Lastly GIG, how do you like your Revo's, and how hard do you use your rig? Oh and one last question, what is the rear breather mod and what do i need to do it?
Thanks
