Yeah i just really like the way the tires look without the bl. Ill give it a little time and see if I need it. I still have the fender flares on. I just took them off while trimming a little bit. Get the 285/75 it wont be a big deal at all on your stock rims. May have to get a wheel spacer though. You can run them without one but its better if you have one.

Ill go get some pictures of the fender flares and all limited trim removed. I plan on filling the holes with black 3/8 allen button head bolts, i think it will look great and keep dirt from getting in my door.

thats whats in my flares to keep them from getting torn off.
 
I totally just highjacked this thread. I posted pictures because I thought the op was wondering how it looked without them. My mistake..

And I think your white 4runner looks awesome without the trim if it had black rivets or bolts that would be awesome...

yeah if you like the "i just wheeled the gaza strip look":AK47:, lol

personally it just looked naked with out the cladding/trim, but hey what ever floats your boat. i think they are all cool as long as they are functional, the only runner i ever met and i didn't like was a mall cruiser lowered job....i think mexicano everytime.
 
Thanks for the pics of the removed fender flares, sorry about straying from the thread. For looks, I think it looks way better with the flares, but for function, I hate not being able to see my front tire while wheeling. For me, though, function will rule over vanity, and mine is just my trail rig. The allen wrench bolts is a neat sounding idea to clean up the left over holes. hmmm...??
 
careful on the black shcs they rust out quickly,

just make sure you paint them even if they are black oxide coated, check out

Yea Im going to order some soon but I will need about 100black oxide bolts 100 black oxide washers 100 more washers and 100nuts so its gonna be a little costly but well worth it.
 
i have the small chrome flares (if you can call them that) and they stick out like a 1/2'' if that and they allow the wheel to stick out past them for a mean look.

So lemme get this straight did you fit a 315/75/16 on a 7" wide wheel?

If so even with the wider stance from the wheel spacers does it feel unstable like all that sidewall is flexing around turns(on the street)?

How do you like the 1.25 wheel spacers? Is that safe?

Yep there mounted on my stock 5 star rims. It doesnt feel unstbale at all. Doesnt feel any different from when I had on the 285. Yeah the wheel spacers are just fine. They make them up to a 2'' so these arent bad at all.
