i know DDM doesn't have the finest reputation around these parts, but i've actually had great results with a set of 55w HIDs i bought from them several years ago. I've been looking at offerings from xenon depot as per recommendations on this forum, but i see they only offer a 35w kit. I'm wondering how their 35w kit compares to the DDM 55w in terms of brightness??? i'll be using these lights in a 2016 TEP.

I've never ran 55w kits in my vehicles. Always stuck with 35w and 4500k - 5000k color range.

i use 50w ballast with oem bulbs, osram svs to be exact, the oem bulbs takes the extra power without any problems, just make the color more warm, also i am retrofitted so its a must, the aftermarket 35w bulbs with 50w ballast works, but not as good, you do have a chance of having the chrome reflective part of bulb housing melt/peel away.

Better to run a harness off the battery. Most of the hid problems I've read is not enough power going through.
