That's the way I was originally going to do mine and had set them up. But with my actual fog lights that I have the light pattern is a wide spread out pattern.It was being blocked by the bumper when on the inside.

I take it yours are driving lights and have more of a straight forward beam pattern like the headlights.

I haven't used these at night yet but Yeah it seems the lights have more of a straight forward beam but that is what I wanted and these lights where not too expensive!

No cutting thru the grill I want to keep it stock. But if I do down the road the blocks under the lights that raise them up have slots in them so I can slide them forward and then I would make black plastic rings to fill in the odd shaped hole when you cut thru the grill.

I used a aluminum spacer about 1" hg. under the lights to put them in the middle of the grill.

I made the spacer. I'm a machinist!

I used a piece of aluminum bar stock for mine that I picked up at Lowes. Cut, drill 2 holes, done.

Drilled a hole down thru the Aluminum bumper,then I used an all thread rod ,washers for height and a 3-4 inch long 1/4" aluminum bar to bring them forward.
