Actually i got the rear bumper on earlier, had to go to the hardware store I forgot I gave the bolts to the guy who bought the bumper lol! Still need to do the tire carrier though. Will be installing the lights very soon.

Now that I look closer at the earlier photos, I do see that you installed the rear bumper. You move fast.
Decided upon a winch yet? I seem to recall the rating should be at least 1.5x the GVWR.

I needed to clear the space in my garage cause I hate leaving the truck outside. After emailing with Addicted off-road there was a short list of winches that fit so I ended up getting a smittybilt 9.5k synthetic winch. Haven’t gotten a chance to install it in yet.

You've been helping our consumer-driven economy! Me too I suppose... Thinking 9,500 lbs too, and also synthetic. Fitment is critical of course.
Looking-forward to those lights installed.

Yea hopefully the 4runner parts companies are happy! Haha.. From what I’ve read/heard Warn is great if your winching all the time.. But it’s a bit overkill if you only do it every once and a while. I got a new open box deal on eBay that I couldn’t pass up on this one. 9.5k/10k seems to be what most people go for I think, synthetic is so much safer for such a small cost definitely worth it imo.

Hmm, they hit at full compression or something? I went on a decently bumpy road with them yesterday and didn’t notice or hear anything out of the ordinary. I’ll check to see if it’s hitting though and if it is I’ll break out the grinder.

Welp just checked and your right, there is a mark on the frame gusset on both sides. I think I’m going to notch the lca skid a bit with my grinder, that’s kind of disappointing though. Should be plug and play...
Got the tire carrier mounted up today, looks awesome. Kinda bummed though cause there was a part missing on the latch so I had to zip tie it closed until I can get a hold of one from cbi..

Great looking build! I am impressed with how fast you are getting it done. Where did you get the key fob? And how did you program? I have a fob that is no longer functional. Thanks in advance.
Got myself a legit Toyota key fob, the alarm button on my fake fob was super sensitive and half the time when I pressed unlock the alarm would go off..

You need to have an oem Toyota fob, can’t be a knock off (I bought mine on eBay fcc ID: HYQ12BBX)
Then here are the instructions (if your locks get weak after a couple lock/unlock cycles then just use the key in the driver door to do the cycles instead of the button)

did a couple things over the past week got my alternator & starter rebuilt, mounted my 20” rigid light bar and pods (not wired yet). Had to make a custom mount out of angle aluminum for the light bar as the mounts on the bumper were for a 10” bar. Got a Milwaukee 1/2” m12 impact wrench for Xmas, works awesome.
The one thing I don’t like is the edges of the mount are kind of sharp and will catch on clothing as you walk by.. need to come up with a fix..

The light bar looks like it was made just for that spot! Looks really good.
What exactly is catching the clothing? Maybe some thing a file can address possibly?

Thanks man, I agree the length of the light worked out perfectly.
Red circle is where it’s catching, I have a tight garage so that’s why I notice it haha.. kept catching my hoodie as I was squeezing past the front. I just ordered some bar mounts for 10$ on amazon that look pretty legit, should eliminate my problem.

Got the missing part for the latch on my rear bumper, nice having a fully functioning bumper now. Put some 3m double sided foam tape on a couple spots for better protection.
Now the slide/ball doesn’t take all the paint off the metal, I really want to 3d print a piece of plastic to go right here. Might get a 3d printer in the near future..
Kind of used it as noise isolation here, should work fine until I find something better.
