31 and 89 near whiteland, IN? Where is this place?Finally made time to go on a small trip over the weekend! Was a lot of fun, wish I took more pictures. I believe we went up hwy 31 kind of near hwy 89. Got to a point where the road was completely snowed over and we didn’t want to risk getting stuck as I had already gotten stuck in a small patch of snow earlier lol.

I’m in California, this was up near Mt.Shasta. Right off I-5, maybe the signs said route 31 I can’t remember..

Got a couple things done this weekend. Changed out the brake lines for extended lines from wheelers, went with the Tacoma lines which eliminates the small section of hard line at the caliper. Installed speed bleeders while I was at it, still need to bleed the brakes. Also changed out my shifter bushings, probably didn’t need changing but what’s the fun in that.

5 week old twin boys and a 2 year old daughter here. The mods definitely slow down after the babies arrive! :baby:
Just keep up on maintenance and support your wife as much as you can!

Wow, twins must be a handful. That’s great though man. The mods have slowed way down, once we saw the price of daycare it was all downhill from there lol. Happy wife happy life!

Right? Sometimes, I'll just be watching her do her thing, and I think to myself, "wow I'm responsible for making sure this little gremlin of a human stays alive" lol.
Every day that passes I feel more like a father (even though I know I am). But, in the beginning when they're just sleeping, eating, and shitting, you feel more like a caretaker than anything else :lmao:
When they say da-da or ma-ma is when it really kicks in.
Good luck to you and your new family, and have fun with your sleepless nights for the next few months haha. Luckily, I'm a night owl.

I try not to add up the cost of it all, kinda like I used to avoid adding up the cost of my mods. At least having a nanny doesn't seem so frivolous now with 3 kids around the house.
Now I think back on having just one (or none!), and wonder what I did with all my free time. :loco:
As for sleep - it gets better around 6-8 weeks (kinda). Get a good routine (the eat-wake-sleep part of Babywise), and (if your wife is breastfeeding) you should put the the babies down to sleep instead of her as much as you can - and handle the unexpected night wake-ups. If she isn't there, they are more likely to go back to sleep, which will be better for everyone.

Now most of my free time goes toward side jobs for baby/house mods lol. Finally got ourselves a much needed king size bed. She has definitely been getting a bit better with sleeping at night time. All in all she has been a really good baby except for the occasional fussy night.
I see what you mean about being a caretaker lol.. Its definitely going to be crazy hearing her speak for the first time. thanks man.
Got 30 mins here and there to work on the truck so I cleaned/rebuilt the injectors with a kit I had purchased a while ago off eBay. The parts were not an exact match to OEM but they were close enough. The Pintle caps had to be cleaned up a bit with a pocket knife/poker tool. Made an adapter to hook up a can of carb cleaner to the injector and hooked up a 9v battery to pulse the carb cleaner through the injectors.
Cut up my AFE Intake to utilize the OEM filter box, planning on doing a snorkel sometime in the future.
Also learned your not supposed to use regular simple green on metal parts, simple green recommends using their heavy duty/aircraft cleaner on all metal parts. Left a bit of simple green on my lower plenum for a few hours by accident and you could see it started eating away at the metal.

Lower control arm bushings done. I took caution and wrapped a ratchet strap around them so they wouldn’t bend as I used a bottle jack to push the bushings out. Be careful cause mine shot out like rockets, one flew across the room and dented the back of my computer lol..
Drove it around and could totally feel the difference, feels way better. I think the LCA bushings were shot.

Well I finally decided to install a snorkel.. not sure if I like how it lined up, I might end up taking it off and try to get it to fit better. The front looks fine but there is like a 1/4” gap on the rear between the fender and the snorkel. Got all 3 nuts on and still have the factory antenna. Had to chop down my cbi hood mount, probably do the driver side as well to match.
