Google images search for wallpapers that are high res but not too large and proper format. I must have spent over 2.5 hours downloading, saving and trying different images!

I assume there is no way to adjust the timing of the start up image?

Mine starts still with the Toyota logo for a few seconds, quickly shows the selected image for 1 second or so, then goes to the warning screen.

Correct, there is no way to adjust it. IMO the only reason to do this mod (as I have done) is to set it to be the screen "off" image, then just turn the screen off and the image is displayed all the time. You obviously can't use nav but all other functions - radio, BT, etc., work fine with the screen off. Otherwise it's a waste of effort to install the image only to see it for a nanosecond on power up.
