^Yes, that seems to be the biggest issue...It appears to be a 5 week minimum wait time. Is there a particular slider you are leaning towards?

I went with the Rocky Road Supersliders. Mine were more for the slider function with the step secondary to my needs. I like the lower profile of these over others on the market. The step isn't really a functional step, but it is a bar that you can step on. I like them a lot for my purposes, but if I were looking for a real step in a slider I'd probably have gone with BAMF step sliders.

Like the clean look you have with the sliders, although I still need steps for the kids, so those have to wait until the factory running boards eventually break off.

Nice Rausch Creek sticker! Been there a couple of times myself and hope to get in at least 2 more runs before the end of the year!

^ Thanks! I've only been once so far, just less than a mo ago. I'd love to get another day in down there before the snow flies. If you get something set up let me know! I don't have any buddies around to wheel with, but met some guys last time that would probably be interested in going again.

Options to stiffen at TRD Pro

Hey guys, my TRDP is currently bobbing across the Atlantic, due to arrive next week! Pretty psyched! I have a question for the suspension mod-ers in the forum: has anyone tried to stiffen the TRDP? I want to use mine as a shuttle vehicle for DH mountain biking and in order to do so, I use a hitch mount Thule T2 rack that holds 4 bikes. I'm afraid that if I load that thing up, I'll be doing wheelies. Any ideas?

^ Your bikes will likely have no impact on the ride of the truck. You could upgrade the rear springs to a heavy duty spring though. I'd wait and see how it feels loaded up though. You may be perfectly happy with it in its stock form.

the 3 angled transverse supports on the RR sliders remind me of the old school 4runner stripes. i like it

Easy install. There's a little plastic piece i had to remove. But that was easy, I had to remove 2 screws.

My kid climbs fairly easy with them.

Apparently there is some margin for allowable differences in dimensions from Rocky Road. I had to do a bit of cutting to get mine to fit. And one bolt was unable to be used on each side as the hole in the frame was not a threaded hole.

Yep, forgot about that one bolt hole. No biggie for me. Still secure.

I agree, no big deal. I'll probably get them spot welded for added piece of mind.

I had to cut a notch out of the plastic piece pictured. Had to remove the piece altogether to get the slider in place and then cut the notch out of it to get it to go back on. Not a huge deal, but there was some cutting needed.

Um, how are you ok with having your slider through plastic because of bad tolerances? Doesn't look very finished. I'm really hoping someone else offers quality rock sliders similar in design to rocky road.

The instructions stated that that piece would need to be sanded as the slider would touch it and once dirt and grime got in there it would squeak. To me I see no real difference between sanding some down and cutting some off. It was a difference I was and am okay with. Like I said, I'll let them know, but not like I'm going to ship them back and wait another 3 or 4 wks for another set when the modification I had to do to the plastic piece wasn't that severe. To each their own though. Some may not be comfortable with that and that's okay too.
