Awesome. I may sell my already ordered Shrockworks sliders and do the steps instead. So badass and I'm not really heavy off roading, so big and burly isn't a necessary thing for me. Another side note - how do you like the Borla exhaust?

The Borla exhaust sounds a little better and breathes a little better. As long as you dont expect it to sound like a V8 you wont be disappointing.

Got the overlay kit in today as well. Pretty easy, but if you use this I would suggest cleaning up the back edges of the overlay before putting on. Some of the letters had little "tags" of extra plastic. Just filed it off lightly.

Do they make the matching grey to the Toyota letters of the TRDPro front Grill?

I am getting the same nebulous time frame here in South FL. I gave them a hefty down payment but can't get an actual date or options listing. Furthermore the consumer sheet they emailed & showed me when I went in person had a VIN but they say I may not get that vehicle. I did some searching on the inventory available site after I made the deposit and the vehicle in question had disappered yet had been present the day before. Not sure what to make of it, but plan for the worst hope for the best.

I put in an order for my TRDP here in Houston two weeks ago and got a similar time frame of mid march to MAY!!.....

So my experience got weirder today. Dealer called me and said that my new date is March 31st. So I've gone from end of January to middle of February and now end of March after ordering in October with a deposit. Also no VIN or proof of allocation but they did send me a one pager that said Pre-Sale.



What is weird is I selected no additional options when I ordered but the bottom of this sheet has $2,254 in options listed which include..



Sliding Rear Cargo Deck

charging and connectivity kit

Remote engine start

Glass Break Sensor

Ball Mount

Cross Bars for Roof Rack

Black Tube Step Running Board



I am now very confused by this entire process. Can anyone explain how they keep pushing back the date yet can't prove one is coming but yet the one coming has all of these options? Seems really sketchy. Also are these all factory installed options or dealer installed? I don't want any of them.

Some locations have factory installed options that you can't opt out of but never heard of that. Most of what you list are installed at the port/processing center. I didn't want the sliding cargo deck but it was factory installed. I was able to opt out of everything else. I think you should push back. You pre-ordered and you should get what you want. Other than the cargo deck I'd say it's all BS.

Sounds to me like it's a take it or leave it option. Sales pricks do this all the time on high demand vehicles.

When I see this stuff it makes when want to cancel my order and get my deposit back. Keep my 45k for something else. :

The first stealer I spoke with about ordering a TRD PRO basically told me I had to order all options available because they only get one. :50cal:

That was the first week of Dec. and they still haven't sold any of their 2016 4runner inventory since I was there. :sadwave:

A local dealer near me has a cement in transit and they listed below msrp. I contacted them and they already sold and there were 5 people in line waiting for one. I threw my name on the list for the fun of it. I doubt they will get enough to fill everyone who wanted one on the list.

Any Canadian 2017 PRO's in here?

Hi all, I just put deposit on a 2017 TRD Pro - Alpine White.
I'm trying to find any other Canucks that have the 2017 Pro, to see if it came with the sunroof.

I know, I know... TRD Pro has no sunroof - in the US. But the dealer assures me that mine will have the sunroof (in Canada) because it's a standard feature on the base model.

I have been literally scouring the entire internet for real hard facts on this and cannot get a clear answer. Toyota.com and Toyota.ca offer very different trim packages for 4runner. Every photo on the Canada site shows a sunroof, on all models. Moonroof is not listed as a differentiating feature in any of the "Compare Packages" pages.

So, I'm really hoping the Canuck version of TRD Pro has it, cuz it's a deal-breaker if it shows up without it. It might arrive by end of next week!!! :eyebrows:

Yeah I agree. Called a dealership in Austin who showed 3 in stock and they're all sold. Basically I'm stuck with my order in the hopes it comes in one day. The demand is crazy on these trucks right now. Congrat's to everyone who has one. I'm jealous lol.

Offer 10K over MSRP and see how fast some other poor guy goes on the waiting list!

Lol. Not really that hard up for trd pro. Just saw it listed and figured what the hell for that price might as well. We will see. I am in the market. I think it will probably just be a sr5. I really wanted last years sand color trd pro but trying to find one for a decent price is pretty tough and even used they are difficult to find for decent price.

I was told the pro doesn't have a sunroof. One of the reason why I went with it.

Well this is going to be interesting.. The suspense is killing me.
I attached a few screenshots from the USA and Canada web sites.
They sure make it sound like standard equipment on the Canada models.
Photos and website text all imply sunroof on every model.
