4runner TRD Pro

I would get a TEP without KDSS and just upgrade the suspension. Funny that you have an STI. I have 2014 and have been drooling over the TRD Pros. I have a lease on my 335i that will end next year. The TRDpro will definitely replace it.

I'm sure you're no stranger to premiums paid over MSRP if you own an STI. Some people were paying close to 40k for the 15 WRX not even the STI :(

I am contemplating trading in my 2013 Audi S4 for a TRD Pro or a TEP. Insane, I know. I'll likely make a trade offer on a 2014 TEP Prem within next 2 weeks. If deal doesn't go through, I'll wait until mid-2015 when (hopefully) TRD Pro prices have dropped. Just wish TRD Pro had a sunroof.

I've been wanting a blacked out orange SUV for as long as I can remember. Nobody ever made one until now. I was hoping Jeep would have come out with their Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 2 with a diesel that they revealed at MOAB 2 years ago but that just hasn't happened.
I don't mind paying more for the TRD Pro (I'm actually getting mine for $1000 under MSRP plus they're throwing in a couple extras). Mine is a business write-off so that even if it costs more, I can write more off. I have no real idea what it would cost to repaint a vehicle to the color you want. I would imagine it would be much more than $2000.

I'm a little bummed that it doesn't have a sunroof/moonroof but I can add an aftermarket one later on if I want.

This will be a vehicle I will keep forever just like my 1994 Toyota 4x4 pickup.
The only way I won't be happy with my purchase is if it is a lemon or if it gets totaled.

Just do a whole vehicle wrap, I was quoted $2,500 to make it any color I wanted. Plus your paint is protected...

Wifey and I got to see what the TRD Pro was about this weekend....Went down to Uwharrie National Forest to try out a couple of trails. I messed up and let wifey drive, and she wouldn't let me get any more drive time after that!

Here she is flexin' out the BatMobile:

Question regarding wheels ? I like the really blk wheels but not a big fan of them , do they offer any other wheels for this 15' TRD PRO or would it be after market purchase I would have to do ? If it's on the website I must have missed it on how to switch the wheels , I am considering on ordering one in the next month or so .......just wandering what my options would be . Any help on this would be appreciated ......thanks !

It was 2 days shy of 6 weeks total…..

Bad ass trdp! Im still waiting for my order to get filled. 3.5 weeks already! Missed the 11/4 allocation. I guess I have to wait for the 12/4. Was told my independent dealer can order only one vehicle from Japan.

This was almost a lost sale on their part. The salesman had never heard of the TRD Pro when I inquired in Sept, and they hadn’t ordered any before this one; they had no idea what they were doing. Lack of initiative on finding out what the delays were (major safety inspections on all incoming Toyotas in Port Of Houston I was told) until I called GST Friday and told them if it didn’t arrive before I left for my 14 days on Tues, I’d pull the deposit and head to Dallas to order one. Loe and behold it showed today…..;):

Though I think I do have a Toyota problem…..

Ummm yeah....looks kinda like my driveway :jump:

Purchased a black TRD Pro last week, after selling my 2014 WRX limited. Only street driving so far, but love the ride/handling. I paid very close to the lowest price on this thread, but had to get quotes from every dealer, that had one in stock, within a 500 mile radius. I ended up having it a delivered (driven) very cheaply, but was also considering a short/cheap flight if required. Not sure if that helps anyone facing MSRP+

I'm glad folks going from great handling cars like the WRX are happy with the handling. I am trading in my 2013 GLK AMG package with 20" wheels for the TRDP and one of my concerns was with handling of a lifted SUV without test driving it. And since the GLK drove like a car but would get crushed in potholes and very blowout happy in the snow months. So glad to hear you are happy with the ride and handling.

I've been dicked around by 3 dealers so far. 2 telling me that they will do MSRP, sent me vin, and I could place deposit when I come in, drive to dealer get there and they say sorry we need over MSRP for one, I walked. Third one said, oh we decided not to take a deposit, we'll call you when it gets here, which means they are just gonna gouge someone for over MSRP. I'm probably not going to end up with one at this rate, but I guess congrats to whose who are getting them and not being fed lines of BS.

Loosing steam for this fight.

Not to burst your bubble, but I highly doubt any TRD Pros will be available come spring 2015, let alone summer. They are scarce and prices are not dropping. If you can wait until summer of 2015 you might be able to snag a 2016 in fall if they make it in larger quantities.

Nearly all the dealers in SoCal that I spoke to that are getting one in are not taking deposits and have clearly stated, "there will be a market adjustment that will vary depending upon interested parties". Can you say "bidding war"? How badly do you want one? I was willing to pay a little over MSRP, although I would have hated to do it and luckily didn't have to, but I wasn't going to pay anywhere near what some dealers were asking and probably got since they no longer have their TRD Pros in inventory.

That's totally fine. None of these dealers told me that. They baited me to come out with an MSRP deal then once there changed the deal, wasting my time. I took a morning off work for one. To me that is unscrupulous and dishonest. If they said what you said up front. Fine. They have not.

One other dealer told be out right that they won't take less than $3000 over MSRP. At least they were upfront and I didn't need to waste my time.

Picked up my TRD Pro Saturday night. Running boards, paint protection, and remote start from the factory. Paid below MSRP.

New to the forum so hello BTW!
