This is Burien Toyota up near Seattle. I actually called them on this one last week because a dealer in my area told me they were getting one soon, same goes for another dealer in Utah.
Both are spoken for sadly.

Even though ,when I asked to see if they had any of the Tundras or Tacomo Pro's in in "Inferno Red" to see it in person ,which they didn't, warned me that" You do know it's orange in bright sunlight,right?. lol
I myself, like orange so it wouldn't bother me a bit and makes it a truely special edition 4Runner and can't easily be cloned from a standard TE like the black and white ones . This is a distinct possibility that I have considered, but haven't had the time or resources to get under the vehicle to investigate.. As far as I know, the techs didn't really pay attention to other possible sources of the sound, and focused on the suspension. I will keep you guys posted.

So I am minding my own business reading this thread yesterday being all jealous of new owners. Today I cruise into my local Toyota dealer since I was in the area. See nothing head around back to loop around and head out AND THERE IT was in all its glory a Super White 4Runner TRD Pro!
So I walk in thinking it is spoken for as it is around back. Nope, just arrived the day before!
1st Problem, I had to have it and it was in white the only color I would buy.
2nd the wife had no idea I was in the car market...nor did I as I didn't expect to see one.
3rd my 2010 Limited has a hard 112K miles on it with, chipped/small crack windshield, door dings, etc.
4th they were not budging on price as 3 people coming tomorrow, one driving 2 hrs. Manager more than confident he would get MSRP.
The deal $500 off MSRP and $17,200 for my ride! I say that because it was far from a good specimen, real far. I negotiated the price before the trade, so did both separately. That was the best I could do. Honestly, with that trade amount I feel like I got it under MSRP easy.
5th problem, the wife is a bit grumpy. On the other hand my face hurts from being so damn happy!
Now to get some kicks ass sliders!

Woohoo!!! I just heard from my sales guy that my Inferno Red was born today! Build was finished in Japan today and it hops on the party boat 12/9. It should land port side sometime around 12/22, but not sure if that date is pre or post-customs. I am keeping my fingers crossed that all the port side adds get done quick and the truck is shipped to AZ lickity-split!
Time to start ordering some mods. Can it wait!

You are correct. Confirmed this with a few companies at the FJ Cruiser Summit this past summer while there was a TRD Pro 4Runner on site.

does anyone know if the black wheel arch moldings from say a 2012 trail edition will fit the new 2015 body style changes?
i have a white TRD coming monday and the thing that annoyed me was that they went body paint matching on the wheel flares, i love the look of the black flares on the trail edition before the made the small style changes to the 2014-15s

This thread seems like the perfect time and place for my first, Toyota and forum virgin... new guy post. I have much to learn.
I have a deep and intense, albeit a time-line quick, saga that has landed me here tonight. But, y'all don't care about that - yet.
Forward to what may be of interest. I am a new owner of an Attitude Black TRD PRO! (I hear the applause! Thank you).
My Bro did the reasearch a few months back. He mentioned the TRD at that time. But, I gave it no further thought. When he called a week ago asking for a ride, I asked where... we picked up his Super at the custom shop. BTW, he had a sun roof cut into it, and the seat covers changed. Replacing the OEM covers was an admitted mistake but, he ordered the leather when he secured the truck... so, it was a premature though done deal.
The white was actually cooler than I thought it would be. She looks nice and stately, meek, trimmed in black. "That's a nice truck," thinks me... "its nose isn't too pretty however." I spun his around the block, returned it... and gave it all no more attention.
Now the part you really want to know. Bro locked his deal five weeks before the truck arrived, sight unseen. He made a seemingly good deal, we only suppose, because the dealer failed to really understand what was sailing its way... $40, 340. Bro felt like he'd struck gold with that price, which included all three options...and so it appears, he was correct.
I have been looking at SUVs for about a year. The Tahoes, Explorers etc., all over priced luxury cars, which happen to have 4wd. I just couldn't get excited, hence, I procrastinated.
Last Friday (aka Black Friday), I bit the bullet and went to buy an Explorer... knowing that I didn't mind the look but, was making the wrong choice. As I spoke to the nice and wholly unconcerned salesman, it became apparent that the 49K, wholly plush Explorer, the dealer, and I were going to part ways.
I thought, as I sat in the Ford dealership, "I need to rethink all of this thing." I stepped out of Ford's palace and called my brother for advice and affirmation.
After a fast, Ford dealer, gripe session with Bro, I drove across town to the local 'Toy' shop. After funny and fast negotiation, I had a Kindle Fire and a contract on a Black! OH Boy! And this = $40, 623.21.
After 45 minutes or so - oops, the sales manager sent the new gal to sheepishly inquire, "Sir, how do you feel about a red one... say... if we can get it in a month or so?" Note to self, "Utoh, we have a problem."
The sales manager tried to put me in everything he had, to include a Trail Premium. I called Bro, and he advised to do it... the Trail was sweet and 43,400K (!) I simply couldn't though... it had to be the PRO for me.
I let them out of the contract... they wanted the Fire back and mentioned it to my GF... to which GF dutifully warned the sweet sales gal, "you're welcome to have it back but, I know him, that'll be the last you ever see of him... it won't be about the Kindle; it'll be about the principle." My girl knows me... and they didn't ask.
I spent the rest of the weekend researching the TRD, juzzzz to be sure. Bro spent the weekend sending me tips. We found the three black ones in VA. You know, the very trucks my dealer couldn't pry them out of without a TRD for swap. Nor could I, they all wanted sticker... one wanted $625 over his 42, 601 sticker, and hung up when Bro asked if they had fallen and bumped their heads.
The TRD is 10 times a better 4WD than anything I'd looked at, and less expensive too boot... I was about ready to relent on one, $300 under window. When... I got a text. The message only read a phone number and this, "CALL THEM !!!"
250 miles north was an Attitude, $39, 975. This truck had it all, less the rack cross bars (dealer ordered, $106). Bro was wide-open, " CAll THEM !!! LOCK THAT TRUCK IN !!! DO IT NOW!!!" Monday around noon I did... Thursday at noon, I headed home with it.
Bro wanted white because he likes white cars, AND, white was the first run, so he secured it even before it delivered. I opted black as I don't really like white vehicles, and felt the Inferno would be too loud. Little did I know but, quickly found out yesterday at noon, the color is irrelevant. The TRD PRO is so unique in the 4Runner world, and otherwise, that concern over loud colors is moot.
I drove it home. 250 miles and I love it! Bear in mind too, this is the most plush vehicle I've ever owned. I've done serious 4WD, off and on, for 35 years. Those Jeeps, with a 49 Willys and a ragged Blazer thrown in there... were always expensive toys. This PRO is in an entire new class for me... a luxury SUV... who woulda thunk me in it...? And, its a luxury SUV that I cannot believe holds such capabilities and technology. I've never before owned an import, and if this one holds up... I simply can't be more impressed.

Sitting here in the garage drinking a beer and my TRDP started making this strange sound in the rear. Kind of sounds like the fuel pump or something is running. The 4Runner has been sitting in my garage for hours. Strange?
Have any of you experienced this? Its still running, almost going on 5 minutes. Sounds like its going through some cycle. Whoa, it just stopped.

My wife's 2011 highlander does the same thing. I'm not exactly sure what it is. I thought it was some sort of cooler/fan thingy. I've only heard it when the engine is warm.

Totally normal, even in manual. It is simply the truck doing a fuel evaporation test. All good my friend.
