4runner TRD Pro

larry miller in Arizona. i live in Los Angeles, drove out there just because of the deal. All Cali dealers marked it up. right when i made my deal with that dealer suddenly some of the Cali dealers had a change of heart and would sell it to me for msrp...which was still a few K over what i was getting mine from AZ.

The Larry Miller finance guy was actually shocked to hear some dealer were marking it up which its confusing to me. I'm guessing maybe they didn't know how limited the models were?

While I haven't signed the papers yet for mine, this is also my experience with Right Toyota in Scottsdale AZ. They have already sold a good number of TRDPs with no mark up BS and below MSRP as advertised on their online website.

Wow that's refreshing.
Every 4Runner in my area has an automatic markup of $3500 over MSRP; the dreaded "additional window sticker"

This is kinda cool. Is it possible for you to do these two images with a white TRDP? I have some images in an earlier post on this thread or grab some here:

I'll see if I can earn some more of her time over the next few weeks. Or borrow her computer again and take a whack at it myself. I may go the lazy route and just "switch" the color on the ones I posted such that the orange goes to white.

Also -- I have the original .PSD files if anyone else wants to take a whack at it. Just PM me.

... the dreaded "additional window sticker"

LOL!! I remember the stomach turning feeling I have gotten in the past when walking up to a new vehicle on the lot and seeing the "additional window sticker" from a distance. When spotting the sticker from a distance it is like a glimpse into the future of you being screwed by the dealership.

Check my post history... Or look in the "What did you do in your 5th Gen today" thread and go back a few pages.

got it! yeah that does look great actually....this might be the ticket.

hers a dumb and annoying question...how do you do that?
I've only plastic dipped tools...a whole fender though. Do they sell it in gallons and just fill a small tub of it?

There's actually a TON info on this site, and on www.dipyourcar.com

Youtube is also a great source. I just used spray cans. Got an even coat on all surfaces with no problem. Best part is, you can peel it off if you don't like it.

Just type in "plastidip" in the search bar and go nuts. :wow2:

Spent most of the day, working on the paint. Wife took some pics when she came home from work. We couldn't be happier with it! (well, she wishes it had more metallic flake)

Did you order yours with the sliding cargo tray?
What day did you order yours?

I should be getting mine in 5-6 weeks.

The sliding cargo tray is a mandatory option for the Southeast region. Luckily a localish dealer got allotted one a few days after we had inquired about an Inferno. When they called three days later to say they were getting one I drove down and gave them a deposit - Nov 7th.

Now that you got a nice coat of wax on it, time to get it dirty! I love mine, the Inferno looks good, saw the color on a local Tundra, wasn't for me, but nice.

I have had a deposit on a Inferno TRD Pro since Sept. I just found out at the beginning of Dec that it would be an additional 6-8 week wait. Just wondering what the Southeast region is. Im in TN and starting to get very impatient lol. Also curious about this cargo tray being standard? I really want one of those but I have no idea if mine will come with it as the vehicle status is still in production and the build sheet isn't available yet.
