I just got word that TRD Pro will be coming in with my name on it. Unfortunately, when I asked the sales rep to send me invoice so that I can see what optional items were installed. I find out they installed the factory running boards which I did not want, and they charged me $60 for a hitch ball mount. The invoice says it was port installed, do I have any room to argue with the dealership to remove the optional items?
On another note: I called AllPro and ordered a set of (4) 1.25" spacers and lugs for the wheels already![]()

Got my 4Runner TRD Pro on Wednesday of this past week. Love it. Lots of random complements and finger pointing type ooohhs and aaahhhs. Between the time I first looked at it and picked it up the dealer did a dirty trick and put a pinstripe on it. At first I thought I would make them take it off, but it's red and kind of understated. Thoughts?
(yes I did plasti dip the chrome rear badge so it matches the front 'TOYOTA' lettered one)
What color plastic dip? Looks good!
How did you plasti dip the badge? Did you take off the whole black piece encompassing the badge?
redkat, bro you suck and the rest of you westerners can bite me!!!! Ok, yes I'm just jealous or as my kids say jelli. I love seeing all the pictures you all post. Reminds me of when I lived out west and damn sure makes me want to come back. You guys have super tough rock wheelin or just awesome overlanding. I'm about to quit my job and head West!
Ha! Here's a couple more bites!!...Ya its nice out here, weather has been great, although we could use a bit more precipitation, still in drought conditions, but 70 degrees, low humidity, bright sunshine... is really nice.
Killin' me! We used to camp at Mojave all the time at that primitive group campsite within the campground. But our favorite was getting lost in Anza Borrego and just setting up wherever. Especially in February through early Spring.
But I live in Ohio now so I'll have to live vicariously through you Westies.
My TRD is scheduled to be in port today. Then over to Chicago in 10 or so days and then down to me a few days later.

where in Mojave is this?
i usually enter it by fwy 15 just before nevada and roam around there for a couple of days.
Picked up my Pro a little over a week ago. I had several bought out from underneath me locally, one right before the test drive… The family was sitting in the 4runner waiting for the sales rep to come back from making a copy of my ID, when he returned he told me that it has just been purchased……. That began my three week hunt for the elusive 4RTRDP. I couldn't find one locally had several dealerships promise me they could have one in two days….. Strange that all of them said specifically TWO DAYS and none of them could deliver. I was forced to expand my search and finally found one about 500 miles away in Iowa. Called the sales rep. Made a deal we could live with "including trade" and the next day I was on the road to Iowa to pick up my spanking new 4runner TRD Pro. I am very pleased with this rig. I live in Michigan so the timing couldn't be more perfect with all the snow we just got. I now have a super white Toyota snowmobile!!!
Thanks Redkat but that is not my garage. Pic was taken the second I walked into the dealership. They had her sitting there all pretty and clean.Congrats! Your patience and persistence has paid off!! Enjoy your snow rig.
BTW, nice garage! Flowers even!!
