4runner TRD Pro

Here in CA, I've learned not to trust dealer listings. They usually leave them up even if they have been sold or spoken for. I've called when I've seen a new listing, get my hopes up, only to have them tell me and it was told no longer available or already sold to a buyer. I've seen them leave the listing up for weeks after I've called them.

I have confirmed this experience as well....

CA is shady town Yota dealers...

In LA so far Carson and Cabe have been the only two with mature, straight shooting, honest seeming contacts in the internet/fleet sales. No TRDs but they were great people. Other dealers in LA try to push all their other models, talk shop like they know off roading, and give you the whole if they get a TRD I can basically give them a high bid on it for when the next one comes in...or that no more are coming in, so I better run to go pay way over sticker for theirs (that was Huntington Beach Toyota, telling me this weeks TRDs are the last shipment of the year no more are coming, AND told me anyone saying they are getting sticker or under sticker out of state is a SCAM so don't do it they warned me).

^ I mean I'm taking delivery in a couple days and those accessories are on it, $400 worth, that I'm not going to use. So I figured if they're worth half their value, I'd sell them and pick up running boards.

Wow, makes me feel lucky that I got mine in August with only 27 miles on the odometer in TX. I had it shipped to me here in AZ from TX. I actually found 2 dealerships in TX less then 50 miles apart from each other last year where each had a black TRD Pro and I was able to put a hold on both of them until I got the best deal. Best customer service I ever got and it was all via email and texting. Right before that I contacted one Toyota dealership in California that was charging $10K above MSRP for the Inferno Red. Why? Because they could and there are people in California who can pay for it in cash. Good luck to you guys, this is my 3rd 4runner in a row and the compliments don't stop when I drive it places... just waiting to get some free time to get out of the city soon and go on some trails and camp.

FYI all those fees above MSRP are all BS markups. Don't pay a single one of them

I paid
MSRP: $41850
Delivery: $900
All weather floor mats: $200
Cross bars: $185
Total: $43135

I had to pay for delivery since it was an special order (I would say it's fair) and I tried to avoid the mats and cross bars but the dealer said that the truck came out from factory with that and I could not get rid of them.

^+1 Dealer said the same thing, came with the car, goes with the car. Can't deduct and give to parts dept to resell. Mats I'll prob end up keeping, but don't see myself using the cross bars, so I'll def end up selling those for as much as I can get some running boards for.

PS. Everyone pays for "delivery" - it's built into the total MSRP, not a dealer fee - they just structured the pricing in an atypical way.

They are not using the factory Monroney as they should be and are required to.

Delivery is built into the MSRP, correct.
