Do you guys in Hawaii get a SiriusXM? I got a free three month trial. Do you have GPS navigation? I always assumed that the shark fin was for GPS and SiriusXM

U should have a sharkfin at the rear roof just before the rear hatch.

I do have navigation but No free offer for Sirius is maybe it's not offered here.

Just an FYI for anyone currently or in the future trying to get a TRD Pro and living in SoCa...where they are hard to come by and seems everyone wants well above sticker.
Send me a PM for a dealer up north that will let you order them slightly below sticker, which will be well worth saying $5-9k that it costs for them in SD/OC/LA. Just going to cost a plane ticket and gas money driving it home. Which I hope to do a scenic coast line drive back with mine this summer. I have a salesman that is no BS and super easy to deal with.
Or some of you may prefer Phoenix, got a dealer and contact there super easy to deal with and sells them at sticker. Will cost you the flight there and drive back, still will be saving money.
So for any of my fellow SoCa friends who stumble upon this thread in the near or distant future, contact me with a private message and I will send you email and phone contacts for the two hookups. Yes you will have to order it and wait, but it will save you time and drama of dealing with searching our local dealers. But if you decide on a Trail, call Evan at Cabe in Long Beach and Dianne at Carson (tell them you found their info from 4runner forum), who will sell you a Trail for a few hundred over invoice.

That list of SET "TOYOGUARD" makes me glad I've never had to get a Toyota through SET. Half of that shit in the TOYOGUARD package is ****ing standard on any Toyota (roadside assistance, emergency tow, rental car, free oil change). VIN etching is a damn ripoff, too.

The shark fin antenna on the roof is the GPS/XM/Sirius radio antenna. GPS does require an antenna to work. Every vehicle has one.

Since about 2013-2014 the GPS is in the Entune head unit and not in the shark fin antenna.

It took almost 6 months. Here is the kicker. I work for Toyota, not a dealership but Toyota National Head Quarters. I would have enjoyed a 3 month wait. There was an issue getting steel to the Tahara Plant. There was an issue with the tire rubbing. This thing shipped one day before the earthquake which caused another delay.

It seems if you can wait on ordering one and go with my NorCal contact, you will save I am guessing roughly $8k over getting it in LA/OC where they seem to go for $49k+ TTL.

Funny - I'm in the Bay Area, and talked to SF Toyota. They quoted me MSRP without markup, but added Lojack of $795, Urban Protection Package of $695 and Simonize of $995 - none of which I wanted, nor would they remove. I bought mine instead in Montana. I'm getting it shipped and delivered to me for MSRP (discount equalled shipping costs).
That makes no sense to me if they are quoting you MSRP (+ options) for a new TRDP yet they have 2 used black 2015 TRDP being listed for 47,500 and 48,500. It was 47,999 and 48,999 about 1 week ago. Price drop!!! Not. They have been sitting there for the last 2 months. I asked them about it, but they would not budge from their price. No negotiations possible. So it's even cheaper to buy the new one with unwanted options than their used ones.:der:
They also have a used lifted 2015 Trail for the price of 42,888 which will probably sit there for awhile too.

Bummer, wish I could have given you the contact I have....
Although if I bought it in Montana I would love to fly up there and drive it back!! Would be a nice drive. I may actually drive my TRD up to Montana for a nice vacation next year. Got a friend here who will be running a sports performance training center in Bozeman that is being built right now, owned by former NFL player. Will drive up there and go hunting or fishing for a week and lift weights at a sweet facility. Will be a nice manly retreat from La La Land!
