Hi guys.
I have a 2015 4Runner and actually I rarely use 4LO. From what I read in manual, I can shift from 4H to 4L only if I on full stop and break pedal is pressed, otherwise the system will prevent shifting. Is it correct?
Today my wife drove the track and I got a call from her when she got stuck with dashboard full of xmas lights. She switched from 4H to 2H while driving 20 miles speed and something went wrong. When I arrived to help her, I noticed that 4LO can be easily shifted while driving and the system does not prevent me from shifting from 4H to 4L which is very strange...unless I do not understand something. I believe the system should be idiot proof and any attempt to shift to 4LO should be successful without full stop and break pedal pressed.
Can somebody confirm it please?
Many thanks.
