Thank you! They are both fine, we actually were sent home this morning. My girls are super spoiled in all aspects of their lives so hopefully they will not think that their birthdays suck. Kalie's birthday is the 23rd so we have had the weird birthday thing for the past four years

I miss my truck.
While I'm on useless information sharing.... I have come to the realization that the Chrome on the SR5 and Limited only looks good on black. The rest of the colors make it look tacky.

On a more serious note, I am wanting to 1. activate the safety connect, 2. Use some kind of back up GPS locator, not sure what yet. Just to catch the degenerates next time, more than anything. :sniper:
Body shop has to detail the car to remove the fingerprint dust, oh well, Insurance pays for that.
I'm getting anxious at this point to see how it's going to come out. Waiting on parts from the Dealership in Texas. Hoping to have it by end of next week, the truck that is. Although, it will have a big hole in the center console as I haven't figured out which aftermarket to replace the OEM unit with.

Nice, I've been to similar one in Vegas, 1 hour and I was ready to start playing thumb wars with my self just to keep busy lol.
Plans are packing up... Probably moving after the incident. Don't feel safe anymore.. Feeling of being violated isn't going away

Danny, I am still wondering why you are so worried about it being stolen again? I thought we came to the conclusion that it is pretty much impossible to steal a smart key LE. And I am sure you learned you're lesson and wont leave it running unattended again. I would not wast more $$$ on above mentioned :shrug:

Very true. I just learned too much from this experience that has made me reconsider everything ..
In talking with cops about how often this happens, there was mention of these fu-ck-ers taking the car with you/BABY in it Or just tossing you and taking the car with baby.
If that happens at 2 in the morning somewhere and I didn't do the above mentioned to save $500, I would just go mad.

I definitely see why you are worried and where you are coming from, I have a little one myself and worry every day it seems about something or "what if". Especially with all the crazy fu*ker's out their now days.
If they toss you in and are holding you at gun point, how is anyone else going to know, or how are you going to push the S.O.S. button though? It would help after the fact to help map the crime scene, but I would be more hell bent on preventing.
(if you don't already) I would recommend a CCW and a handgun you are comfortable with and carry it 100% of the time, and shoot/practice often.

Agreed, and why did they have to put so much on :ybrick:. I have thought about blacking out the chrome like everyone else does, but had a different idea.
Mine is Classic Silver, and saw some people using "clear plasti-dip" over chrome trim and it mimics the look of brushed aluminum. I think it would blend in better with the silver and almost not even notice it, or look color matched.
Here is a few samples :

I had a friend move to AZ, this being one of many reasons.

What do you think of the clear plasti dip on all the chrome of a classic silver? Might get time to experiment and see how it looks this weekend.
