5th Gen Chat Thread

What do you think of the clear plasti dip on all the chrome of a classic silver? Might get time to experiment and see how it looks this weekend.

Wife and I are going snowboarding this weekend, but I probubly wont have any cool stories to post like Reno :D

I like it a lot actually... For the longest time I was looking for that finish for my replacement wheels but couldn't find ANYTHING.. I think that would be a kick a$$ color combo on the blizzard pearl. Now that I have black wheels, I will need to end up doing the handle bars and roof rack black. Although, I'm afraid to mess up the Limited touch-unlock system.

Anyway - DO IT!!!

^^^^^Everyone must watch this!!!:lmao:

That just lightened up my afternoon significantly. Thanks Jesse! The only thing that I think would have killed it on YouTube is if that thing flew back over your shoulder into the house at your wife. The reaction that would have occured would probably have been incredibly hilarious =D

Thought this pretty good...:couch2:

That's a cool video, thanks for sharing.. Audi had made some great advancement in their tech recently. If I had money to keep up with its repairs, post 60k miles, I would buy one in a heart beat!

BTW, anyone actually click the link in my previous post?

KCCO! Thanks a lot Danny!

Didn't want to start a new thread so I thought this would be a good place to post. Thinking about adding a Tacoma to the mix. It's a 2002, 180,000+ miles, TRD Offroad, for $12k. Will haggle down to 9-10k if possible. It's gonna be my daily driver, dirty errands, haul dogs around, haul bicycles around, and I honestly feel better beating up a 10k vehicle than a 30k+ vehicle. I'm going to wait years down the road to beat up the 4R, more than likely to use it now to recover the Taco, I can see it now, calling my wife to pull me out :)

My question is, is the rust worth it? I googled "tacoma frame rust" and got some bad pics, some of the following pics looks like it could be going that route...I don't want to pour money into this and turns out it's gonna die from the rust...The previous owner is apparently local, so definitely exposed to salty roads during the winter.

I posted this on TacomWorld too, but I value your opinions too, if not more :)

Thanks in advance

I also have a pair of white high top Chucks, Black low top and a grey pair too. I ride in Adidas Sambas dude and play ball in my Jordans. Anything else? Oh, I wear Merrills for dress shoes.

Smart and cool? IMPOSSIBLE!

Wait till Pat Photochops this one...

Susan and I got involved with a group that bakes cookies and sends them to the troops. We made about 6 dozen, packed them in baggies of 6, and delivered them to a central location where they get packed and sent to our American Troops...had no idea where or who gets them. We affixed printed labels that said, "To our American Hero, please know you are in our prayers to bring you home soon, and safe... With love and admiration, Pat and Susan"

I implore anyone to do what you can to support them. The politics is the politics, but these folks deserve what we can do, to contribute and help make their lives a little more tolerable.

Unbeknownst to me, the girl who helped to organize this (and knows my daughter is over there) had supplied the gentleman sending the boxes with my daughters address. What a pleasant surprise when my daughter sent me this picture. She said over 50 pilots had enjoyed the cookies, and it was like Christmas when they opened the box....now THAT's the real deal there.. they collected and delivered over 1100 dozen to send...I was brought to tears by the kindness of strangers

I also got a pretty cool present when I got up yesterday...there's the brat holding the sign in front of the Mrap

Your daughter, her fellow Air Force and all those serving have my total admiration and gratitude. And thanks to you and your wife for raising such a solid daughter.
