I've got a 2016 Limited an I'm looking to put new rims and tires on it without doing any mods like taking out inner plastic or anything. Did you have to do any mods with these rims?

BFG 265/70-17C KO2s on Method Roost 17x8.5 et0 wheels.

At 25 lbs a piece, the Roost wheels somewhat compensate for the heavier tires, making the combined tire/wheel weight very close to the stock Trail wheels w/ Bridgestone Duelers, and they're hub centric for Toyota.

My 4Runner has a completely stock suspension/no lift, and if the tires were any bigger or the wheels had any more negative offset, I'm pretty sure that there would be some rubbing on the front bumper cover and the front mud guards at full lock...

thanks..I'll be buying a set of tires next week so that should work out well. This is a leading contender..just not too many pics floating around with stock size and trail rims. :rockon:

Would this fit my fully stock 2016 SR5? 265/70/17 BFG KO2, with 17x8.5 Fuel Vectors with 5in backspacing, +7mm offset, I want the tires to not stick out at all. If that won't fit, what other sizes should I look for to fit stock suspension?

Those with Method Wheels & Gorilla Lug Nuts...

I'm have a set of Method NV wheels installed with Pro-Comp splined lugs, however my lug nuts are starting to rust pretty bad so I want to replace them with Gorilla lug nuts.

Those who are running Gorilla lug nuts - what size do we need for our 5th gen 4runners with Method Wheels? Part number would really help... I also read that the extended thread lugs help with wheel vibrations.

She's a beauty! I'll be sticking to stock sus and no lift when i upgrade my wheels and tires, since I drive mostly highways. How's the bfg on pavement? love the aggressive look vs the stocks.

The LT tires are not as smooth on the road as the stock Bridgestone Duelers, but perfectly acceptable for highway/city use. I can sometimes detect a small amount of "nibbling" from the tires interacting with pavement of a certain roughness or grooving, but that's it.

The main reason for the switch is that the first couple of off road runs pointed to the street tires as the weak point traction-wise. And I did worry that the sidewalls of the street tires were not designed to, um, "brush" sharp rocks. So the KO2s make a big dfference in the rocky/sandy soil we have in the southwest. The rest of the rig is VERY capable right out of the box.

So long as you stick to the load range C tire in the stock size (and use light wheels), acceleration and gas mileage are not noticeably different from stock.

DTD sent Gorilla Automotive 12mm x 1.50 "E-T" lugs (21134ETD for Chrome, 21134ETBC for Black Chrome) with my Method Roost wheels. The last number (4) might be different depending upon the quantity of lugs in the package (make sure you get qty 24, as some packages only come with 20...).

I think there are also some 108mm-to-106.1mm centering rings you could use to help center your wheels, but they will be fragile at ~1mm thick.

If it does, it'll likely rub the lower inner front edge of the front bumper or splash shield. A lot of guys cut the shield which i'm not a fan of. I like having the protection for the fog lights and everything else up under there. What I did was simply in bolt the shield from the bumper, just the lower 2 bolts. Move the shield forward, drill 2 new holes in the shield, bolt it in place using the 2 OEM bolts. I then trimmed the bumper flush. If you didn't know I did it, you'd never notice it. Looks like stock, nice, clean, no trimmed fender liner.

Not exactly. I'm running a 285/70/17 on FX Pro wheels which are 17x8 I actually ran this wheel and tire combo with no lift at all for a little while and has next to no rubbing. The trimming I did and moving the fender liner stopped all rubbing with these tires and wheel and no lift. Pictured is my T4R before the lift went in.

Honestly, I don't really LOVE any wheel on the 4Runner. I don't look at any of them and feel like they belong on it and look perfect. I'm happy enough with my FX Pro wheels though.

I know I'm over thinking it.. but know I think I know what ya mean.. cept to me the rims are either super simple and make the rig kinda look meh or they are too busy and don't look good.. that happy medium is the tricky spot to hit in a rim that not many others have..
