I'm have a set of Method NV wheels installed with Pro-Comp splined lugs, however my lug nuts are starting to rust pretty bad so I want to replace them with Gorilla lug nuts.

Those who are running Gorilla lug nuts - what size do we need for our 5th gen 4runners with Method Wheels? Part number would really help... I also read that the extended thread lugs help with wheel vibrations.

Like Adventure Man said the 21134ETBC works perfect. I just put these on my Method NV wheels yesterday.

Looking to get some new wheels/tires for my 5th gen, but i want them to stick out past the fender about an 1" without the use of spacers if possible. Which wheels would be the better option for that?
1) 17x8.5 Offset: 0 Backspace: 4.75"
or
2) 17x8 Offset: -10 Backspace: 4.1"

Do you by chance have a photo of the 17x9 F5's showing how far they "poke" out past the fenders?

I have a set that im going to test fit either throughout the week or next weekend. I had them on my fj and dont think they will work with 285's on my 4runner but wanted atleast see how things look. Ill get pictures posted

That would be extremely helpful to see! Looking forward to your update and pics.

Method machined double standards, 17 x 8.5 0mm offset.
Just got these last night from my buddy at Method and test fitted them this morning on my 2016 SR5 4wd.

Fit perfect, no spacers, clears calipers.
Only tried one wheel with a full spin, going to risk it and assume the rest will also clear.

Are these lug or hub centric

Bought the 4runner stock a few months ago and have tried a few different wheel options. My wife loved the Limited 20's until we got them on there. She loved how they looked from the side but as many people say, they were just too skinny. Just didn't look right with skinny tires. Ended up buying 2017 TRD off road wheels and keeping the factory tires. First picture is stock with SR5 wheels, second is limited wheels and 3rd is what we settled on which is the TRD off road wheels.

I'd keep an eye on the Fuel Mavericks. I had a set on my truck and had two crack over the course of 3.5 years. Customer service was good to replace each and I only paid shipping, but it was still disappointing.

Thanks for the heads up! Was this with normal driving or due to an off-road thing? It's nice to know they'll take care of you if one breaks, but I don't like the idea of going easy because I'm afraid of breaking a wheel. I didn't buy king suspension to go the mall, lol.

Spacers with SCS wheels

I have a question regarding my setup. I have a '16 TE with 5100's set at 2.5" with SCS Stealth 6's and 275/70's. Will I be able to run 1.25" Spidertrax spacers to widen my stance? Will I rub? I have done the fender liner mod and trimmed some of the front bumper but no BMC. Looking for some feedback.

Thanks!

On road normal driving. They were on my 2013 F250. It never really saw anything off road past a sandy beach. It was a heavier truck and I did use it to tow a 5th wheel (around 4000 miles towing) but it never cracked while or around a time I was towing. Mine were 20" and machined face, so maybe something has changed since I bought them at that time.

One cracked after around a year and the other at 2.5-3 years. Customer service was good with both, other than me paying shipping.

Fuel wheels are very popular and after some searching, it doesn't seem to be a wide spread problem. I don't think it's enough of a problem that I have really negative feelings towards the company, but just something to keep an eye out for, mostly cause mine were also mavericks.

MB vortex 17 inch wheels with duratrac 285's. Lifted and super sliders from Rocky road.

Used 3dcarstickers dot com for replacement acrylic center Toyota decal ilo the MB center decal. See my post on this in the "what did you do today thread"

Thanks,
J

Some good looking rigs in here!

So I just picked up a TRD ORP and want to upgrade wheels and tires. (Pro wheels and BFG KO2's specifically.) My question is what are you guys doing with your OEM rims and tires? Selling them on craigslist? I vaguely recall reading some people were able to get some money out of the tires through their tire shop. Is that even doable and if so, how do you present that to the shop? Want to get moving on this before I put too many miles on the stock tires.

I also have an ORP and just listed my wheels and tires with 700 miles on them on Craigslist. I had no idea what to ask, so I started with $1000. I got an offer for $800 but giving it a bit longer to see if I get anything higher. I tried searching and couldn't find much pricing info other than some eBay listings around what I'm at. If I don't get anymore than $800 in the next week or so, I'd accept that.

I sold my stock Bridgestone dueler's with 1000 miles on them to a friend for 375 bucks. He has a totally stock SR5 and was planning on keeping it that way. I had them posted on craigslist for $400 and had some inquiries there also but I'm sure they were going to offer less. You definitely should be able to sell them you just need to find the right person.
