I just got my black TRD wheels 2 days ago, and although 8’s would be great, ive read people’s posts here and there about tires rubbing, wheels falling off with spacers n all, i’ll stick with OEM’s for safety’s sake, then for warranty’s.

8 is a great size on these trucks. I run them on 295s with 1.25" spacers and I've not encountered any issues after some solid wheeling sessions. And I don't think twice when I have to put my daughter in the truck for errands or trips, considering it's also my daily driver.

Rubbing is another story, albeit insignificant.

I have a 2017 TRD Off Road with stock UCAs and a OME 2.5/1.5 lift running stock wheels and tires for the moment. I really hate the Starwars wheels and want to move over to a set of TRD Sema repops, but the offsets are drastically different (0+, 5+) over the factory +15 offset. I also want to move to a 275/70/17 tire. I'm not at all interested in chopping body mounts or beating in fender mounts

I am quickly becoming frustrated with the lack of direct size match wheels available coupled with the extremely sensitive to rub truck. Rubbing tires is just not acceptable and neither is cutting to make tires fit. I can't find a 10mm hubcentric spacer and the 1.25" Spider Trax spacer is way, way too much. What are my options beyond powder coating my ugly factory wheels black and pretending they don't exist?

Hey everyone!

As with everyone else I've been through years and years of posts trying to find the answers!!

My question is does anyone have 17x9 Black Rhino Warlords on their rig? If so what offset are you running? I'm thinking of running -12 with the stock 265/70/17 until it's time for new tires and then run 285s and lift it at that point.

If anyone has any pics showing the tire outside the fender it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I have Black Rhino Mojave 17x9 -12 offset. I ran stock tires with no lift and had no issues, then I added a 3” lift and 285’s and had to trim my fenders 1/4” to avoid rubbing.

Is anyone running the fuel off-road recoils? Any pictures of them on a magnetic gray? I’ve never bought aftermarket wheels before and while I would obviously go to a shop for this I’d like to know if I needed any additional parts to run these wheels on my sr5. Thanks

I have the same 2017 off road.
I went with volk te37s 18x9 + 0 offset
with 285/65/18 KO2s on stock suspension.

I just pushed the fender liner back and trimmed the front of the bumper maybe a 2-3 mm and i have 0 rubbing.
No issues in the rear at all.

2 inch level front spacers

Need some opinions on this first pic is stock middle pic is after 2 inch kit and third pics is when I took of th rocker panel moldings let me know what you think about my truck it’s a budget lift and next will be the tires

Hi guys, I've been scrolling through all of the pages on here and still couldn't decide what to do for rims.

I'm currently looking at a few wheels and need some help.
Everything on my 2014 LE is all stock, no lifts. However, I wanted to go with 17 instead of 20s.
Here are my options.
1. Mickey Thompson Sidebitter Lock 17x9 -12 offset
2. Mickey Thompson Sidebitter II 17x9 with 0 offset.

Already bought BFG TA KO2 265/70/17.
Any helps and suggestion would be great.

Thanks.

265 Duratracs on Pro wheels with spacers, no lift.

Wheel: TRD Pro 17" Matte Black 17x7 with 4mm offset
Spacers: BORA 1.25" spacers
Tires: Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac OWL C series 265 70R17
Suspension: Standard KDSS
No body mount chop, but we did relocated the fender liner and trim the front bumper and remove the front mud flaps, which I am going to modify with a heat gun. No rubbing now.
