'95 T4R - Always starts on 2nd or 3rd try

When I turn the key, I get a "click", maybe another "click" and then she starts right up. Any ideas as to what's going on? I already replaced the battery.

My guess is it lies in the solenoid contacts or the starter itself.
I would clean the contacts first that might do the trick. if not your starter may be on its way out.

It sounds like your starter to me. It's definitely one of the usual suspects, and if you've already changed the battery, I'd say get a new starter before it leaves you somewhere. Most people tend to beat on theirs with a hammer or any other such tool good for banging, but that's only a temporary solution. Good luck.
