Obviously needs a new timing belt lol. Got some more stuff removed.

I'm in Vancouver Washington. Searching auctions for donors. It's a waiting game now.



Did some more cleaning and what not and removed this bug piece of melted plastic stuck between the mount and exhaust heat shield on the passenger side lol

I know it's wore a drive from where you are but [MENTION=78895]DeathCougar[/MENTION] is in Marysville and he parts out lots of 3rd gens. I've had nothing but positive dealings with him.

Yup, that is quite a challenge. If you are donor hunting, It might be easier to find one with a running engine, and swap everything from the transmission forward, including the ECU. Just strip that engine bay down to sheetmetal, and start over. One with a rusted out frame might be perfect.

I helped rebuild a burned out tractor once, and that was bad enough. Simple old cast iron I4, and it never did run smooth, despite a lot of love and attention.

In any case, I'm rooting for you. Having just done a backyard frame swap, I understand a challenge.

I'm watching a runner with close to 300k I think it's a limited so an elocker might be available from it also [emoji7]

Got a 99 Limited for a parts car. Got the dash wiring out of the old one along with all the crapload of extremely poorly done sound system wiring.
The person stripped the insulation off the harness wires and wrapped the other wire around the bare part and taped it back up. I didn't have my phone on me when I was taking it apart so don't have pics but it was just face palm.
Hoping to have the other dash torn apart tomorrow and harness out but we'll see.

Either way, what's your plan for leftover parts from the donor? I'm in Hillsboro and could use some stuff that I think you may not use.

The seats are great I'm going to swap them over.
Dash harness removed from donor. Also swapping blower motor and heater cores for the power climate control.

I could use the fuel tank skid plate, spare tire and spare tire holder mechanism, and maybe a charcoal canister. No hurry for them so if you want to finish your build first, I'd be interested in these if they are left.

I realize now I have to transfer over the wiring for the transmission relay, clutch start cancel switch and I believe one or two more things on the drivers side since the auto harness doesn't have those. I will probably attack that after New Years swamped with work and holiday prep. But nothing's set in stone so.
If anyone has any links or suggestions I'd very much like to hear them. Thanks b
