I am sure it's for a reason. Hepar, however, says his is not like that...

After looking at your picture on page 3 I think yours is just a bit bigger, and fills the space a bit better. (that's what she said)

It does look like your driver side of the deck is sticking out a bit more then that pass side though =P

Nono, it's supposed to look like that now. With the new Firmware I am able to change the opening screen like that.

OHH HAHA i misinterpreted your previous post. i thought you meant, "i dont know what happened but after updated its like this now.." haha

oh damm well then, **** thats a badass opening screen! NICE! haha

and i have a double din as well, i notice sometimes if you dont mount the unit correctly it shifts like that, if you look behind the dash where you mount the 4 screws to hold down the deck there are little tabs underneath those holes that the brackets have to properly sit in or you get all sorts of angles haha
take a look and you might have just done it on accident, i know i done it a few times messing around with the deck.. best of luck! let me know if you need more clarification where im talking about..

And yeah, I am picking up what you're putting down, but that is just the way the deck is made to sit, I guess. Checked and double checked, maybe even triple when I installed it.

And just so you know, you made me go out there and measure it from every side like 10 times. I'll probably measure it again every month to make sure it doesn't shift. Thanks a lot.

TRD Boost Gauge

Well, I finally got a TRD boost gauge. It was a measly $30, and very easy to install.

This is TEMPORARILY setup with 3m double sided tape, as I have a Lotek pod ordered.

In a perfect world it would be the one that goes to 30 on VAC and 15 on boost, BUT, again it was $30. No complaints from this guy.

A friend of mine (vital22re on Yotatech) has a 2.2 URD pulley that he is going to trade me for the 2.1 URD pulley that I am ordering right now.

I am going to be gone for the whole month of May, but when I return I should have waiting in the garage for me:

-B&M Trans Cooler
-Lotek Gauge Pod
-Autometer Trans Temp Gauge

I am back!

So today I returned home from a 20 day training mission and had a few presents in the garage from my wife!

-B&M 70268 Transmission Cooler
-AEM Transmission Temp Gauge
-URD 2.1 Pulley (To trade for a friends 2.2)
-URD Modified Walbro Fuel Pump
-Lotek Dual Gauge Pod
-2 Sets of WTB Velociraptor MTB Tires

So anyway, I got home at about noon, walked the dog, had lunch with my wife, then got to work.

First I had a HECK of a time removing the handle on the A pillar, and stripped BOTH of the screws. I ended up having to cut my stock A pillar trim (I have an extra) so that I could expose the screws better, and grab them with vise grips. With this done, I was able to install the Lotek Pod with ease. Here is an outside shot, I think it looks pretty good!

After this was done I re-rerouted my AEM AF gauge to be placed in the pillar, with my TRD Boost Gauge.

When I was happy with the pillar, I filled the hole made vacant by my AF gauge, with an AEM Trans Temp Gauge. The gauge is flawless, just has a bit of dust in the picture.

So tomorrow I am going to take the bikes out, and when I get home I will install the Trans Cooler, using the outstanding write-up provided by BigFishAllDay and actually wire the trans temp gauge! I hope to be able to install the fuel pump and pulley this coming Saturday.

A bit further down the road I plan to replace my TRD Boost Gauge with an AEM one so that I can have a matching set. Is it a waste of money? Yes. Aesthetically I think it would be well worth it, however. If anyone reads this and wants the gauge, let me know as it will make me get my butt in gear with purchasing the AEM gauge.

Trans Cooler/Temp Gauge

Well, this afternoon I did indeed get around to installing my B&M 70268 and AEM Temp Gauge!

I followed the instructions that I posted EXACTLY and had no problems, whatsoever. That said, I did not feel the need to take any additional pictures of the install, as they would be identical.

On to the results.

This is the cooler, shown through the grill.

This is the temp sender that took me about 2 hours to find, after being told I was crazy by 3 auto parts store idiots.

A picture of the gauge, with the highest temp that I observed on my 15 minute drive to Starbucks, down the freeway a mile, exiting, and cruising back home on suburban streets. This temperature was at the stop light after I exited the freeway. I apologize for the crappy picture, but I was more concerned with driving, than photography.

This is what all of the gauges look like when lit up. The TRD one really bothers me now that I have the 2 AEM gauges.

That's a neat ATF temp gauge. It's digital and still has an analog dial, albeit its still a digital dial.

It's the same as my AF Gauge, I really like the style.

dang i think im gonna have to get one of those tranny temp guages when i get my tranny cooler now. that just looks great!
