Better be seeing yourself and GSPRunner at Rock Therapy!
Awesome pictures man! Just spent way to much time looking through your entire thread.
I understand, its easy for being only 5-6 hours away. North West Wheeling looks sweet though, I have to try and get up there sometime in the next few years!:car:That's a TREK man. I am sure I'll make it some time, but this year won't be that time.

DSC_0717 by Alex Wilson, on FlickrDay 3 we just pounded pavement in search of sun to dry out our tents. We actually ended up driving damn near all the way home, stopping along the Cle Elum River.
Overall it was a good time. We ended up logging around 1100 miles and drove for probably close to 40 hours. I averaged 16mpg over the duration of the trip. Worst tank was 12.3, best was 18.2. Not bad for a loaded down 4Runner which tipped the scales at 5550lbs the morning we started.
I don't plan to ever run a snorkel, though it probably would have been useful on this trip due to the amount of dust my 4Runner was sucking up on day 1. When we were fueling up I smacked it on my hand and a LOT of dust came out. It left a little mound on the ground.Snorkel time? Sweet pics.
Looks like a fantastic trip. Getting 16mpg with an SC and loaded down is fantastic! A best with 18.2 is unfathomable for me. I'm looking forward to doing the WA Cascades.
DSC_0011 by Alex Wilson, on FlickrBefore we headed out on our trip last week we made a quick stop at Mule Expedition Outfitters in Issaquah, WA in order to pick up a few last minute odds and ends.
One thing I noticed I needed when we ran the WABDR was something to hold my phone, which I also use as my GPS. I always thought the RAM mounts looked really nice, so I decided to pick one up.
It was a good time for sure, and thank you! The RAM mount I think is worth the amount I paid. It held my phone in place very well throughout the trip.Looks like an awesome time! Looked through all of the photos on your Flickr, and I loved them all.
Also, you're really tempting me to pick up a RAM mount. I've been spying them for a while now.. they look solid!
Haha, I am too. I don't know how I went so long without a decent camera.Love your updates, I'm a sucker for high res pictures.
Alex, I like the setup. I need to get the suction cup off my windshield. How and where did you mount the base?
This evening I replaced my Walbro 190lph fuel pump with a Denso 195130-3360 out of an Evo 8 in an attempt to solve two problems:
Problem 1: The Walbro is LOUD. With a full tank you can barely hear it, but if it's hot outside and you're under 1/2 tank that sucker SCREAMED. The Denso unit was virtually silent from the driver's seat with around 1 gallon of fuel in the tank. After filling up I could not even hear it when crouching down by the tank. Solved.
Problem 2: Problem 2 didn't exist after I stopped being an idiot and did some trouble shooting. However, before that troubleshooting took place, I ordered the pump. Solved? Yeah, we'll tell my wife it's solved.
Install of the pump was plug and play, for the most part. The one thing that wasn't EXACTLY plug and play was the fitment of the rubber piece that goes between the pump itself and the bracket. The issue was that the rubber piece was made to fit the design of the factory pump (and my modified Walbro), which is different enough to not fit very well with the Evo 8 pump.
Here's a picture of the bottom of some Evo 8 pumps from the internet... The one on the left is a Walbro, the rest look like the bottom of the pump I used.

I figured that the rubber was just there to keep the pump off of the metal bracket, and to perhaps hold the sock on a bit better. My "fix" was to bend the bottom of the bracket down, put the rubber between the pump and bracket, then bend the bracket back up securing it in place. It worked like a charm.
So uh... T4RunnerSteve ... It works! =D
