Fine. I'm selling mine too. This is all ridiculous. I'm feeling a lot like Bill O'Reilly right now.

Idk... Park it in the backyard or something and just pretend you sold it... Then you'll have seller's remorse, and still have the option of going back to it! I hear wayyy too many stories of people regretting they sell it.

NO, NO, NO.

Like Hepar said... this is getting ridiculous. GSPRunner and now you. What's the point of having a 3rd gen anymore if anyone isn't gonna be around to drool over them with me?

This is getting out of hand.

Regardless... best wishes going forward Alex! Your truck is one of the cleanest 3rd gens I've seen in my time here - would pick yours as a poster child to demonstrate how awesomely the 3rds can be built. Keep us posted and I'll see ya on IG!

Damn!!!

@A.Wilson031
I'm just a lowly lurker, but I have drawn a lot of inspiration from your build. I always checked in on your thread, (here and Expo) to see the latest mod, maintenance or adventure (always great pics), but rarely commented. I'm gonna miss seeing your 3rd gen on here. You and your build are one of the great ones that make this forum the best. And I share a love of dogs... :bigok:

Good luck with your decision, and keep us posted. I am curious what you will end up with.

All the best...

Durwin

I get it. What's the point of holding onto a vehicle if it doesn't serve the needs you are looking for? I love my rig and as it sits now, serves all my needs. But it is getting older and older and it's going to hit that point where more and more wrenching will be needed to keep it going. Not sure I have the patience anymore to deal with that. One big reason I have it is its reliability. If that ever is an issue, I know I'll look into other options.

The ol' girl is "sold" pending payment.

A few days back I found a guy on Expo Portal that was looking for an "Adventure Ready" truck at under $22k. Tonight we came to an agreement on price, and he'll be flying in from San Fran and driving it home. Should know when, exactly, tomorrow.

Here are some pictures from the detailing today. As always, a huge thank you to GSPRunner for the grunt work.

It sounds like I may be getting my new ride on Wednesday, perhaps. I'll post some photos of it in here before I move along =)

Looks awesome. What setting you have ur CDC on in the back with all that weight ?

I typically have the rear at 6 for daily driving purposes with the tent off. If the tent's on I'll go to 8.

The front stays at 4 for daily driving.

If I am taking a long trip on the highway I will set them to 10 or "H" front and rear as I feel it helps with the handling a bit.

Can't believe this happened so fast. We'll miss you for sure and all your beautiful pictures. Post some pics of the new ride and check in every now and then. Good luck with your new rig and all the adventures it will take you on!

That is one clean engine bay. I guess you had plenty of time when the heads were off to clean all the parts.

Post pics of the new ride when it arrives.

Looks good man [emoji1360] Clearly more work than just tire shine [emoji23] Glad to hear it was an easy sale!
Sorry for not wanting to go through 100 pages to find pics and info, but are your shocks outboarded and using factory lower mounts?
Lookin forward to seeing the new rig!

Nice! I feel like a lot of times people post ads like that, they're tire kickers. Or they want everything for next to nothing. Good to see someone step up for something that's well worth it.

A hot pressure washer did most of the work.

A friend of mine has a pressure washing business and he has a few hot water machines. It's amazing was some hot water does.

We all can confirm that my 4runner is now the nicest ride in the pacific northwest now that you and joe dont have 3rd gens.

4runner

If I bought a Taco I may actually need to find useful information on Tacomaworld... I am not ready for that challenge. LMAO. I just bought a 15 taco as a daily. Truer words were never spoke.

You definitely have the nicest gold 4Runner on the streets. Then again, you'e the only one who would be caught dead driving a gold 4Runner.
