So, what's the verdict? :snacker:

So far so good. I think my alignment is off a bit from swapping out the steering rack bushings... That's going to be fixed soon though.

I drove rather conservatively today; still trying to wear in the rotors... No shakes today though.

Got the CB all hooked up today!

Kinda dumb on my part, but I wired it straight to the "Power Outlet" relay in the engine bay fuse box without doing any research. Please let me know if you know for a fact that this will kill my 4runner =p. I never use my plugs, so didn't see a huge deal. The power line to the CB is also fused.

For the Coax, I ran that straight down the center console, under the carpet of the "hump" in the middle of the floor in the back seat area, under the cargo area carpet, into the drivers side panel, out the vent thing, and up the crack between the body and the bumper, into my ODL mount! I am VERY happy with how clean everything turned out.

My goal was to make it so that when I did not need my CB (355 days out of the year) you wouldn't even be able to tell I had one.

I had the 4' Firestik, but unfortunately it does not fit in my garage door without smacking my 4Runner a few times. Just ordered the 3' Firestik II to replace it.

Today I also replaced my front O2 sensor with the Denso 234-4162, no P0171 back yet!

Last weekend I finished up my CB install. I'm very happy with the way it turned out!

Here's a picture of the final product...

This evening I found an Infinity Basslink on CL for $75... Called him up, offered him 3 crisp $20's, and we had a deal. The guy wanted to meet in a rather sketchy area, and sounded like a rather sketchy feller, so I gave JMT2404 a call, and picked him up on my way out to meet "Tony."

I am pretty sure that the only reason I am alive right now is because I didn't meet this guy alone. He was a piece of work.

Anyway, got it all wired up and am VERY impressed with it so far!

I may or may not have been carrying it last night.....

Way to downgrade to a 3ft. one brah...

In my eyes, it's an upgrade =p

1. It fits in my garage
2. It's not the "cut to tune" style
3. It doesn't move as much over bumps making it smack the Runner
4. It's not 4ft tall

If he would have tried something he would of had to answer to old betsy...............

Hahaha, ol' Betsy....

Installed my Scangauge II this evening. Pretty happy with the condition for a used product- good to know there are still some honest folks on CL that are willing to ship!

For the mounting I did not want to drill any holes, or cut anything, so I just ran the cable up through the heater vent, and the friction from the plug itself holds the unit in place. If I have any problems with it moving I will add a small piece of 2 sided tape.

Need to research some codes now... perhaps figure out how to get it to read my MPG accurately...

Birthday is in June according to this.

Well I just got off of the phone with every Toyota dealer within 50 miles. My birthday was yesterday and my parents were generous with their check book, and I told my wife I was going to spend $100 of it on the 4Runner, since she spent about $600 on it for my Birthday. (See the Mods from the end of May)

I was inquiring about the parts needed for the Tacoma Whip Mod, and am pretty disappointed with the results. On the guide from 4Runners.org - Maintain it. Mod it. he lists the price for BOTH components at about $65.00. Toyota of Kirkland wanted $140, while Toyota of Tacoma, Titus-Will Toyota, and Toyota of Olympia all wanted $104.

Anyway, after 10% Military discount I am looking at $94. Going to do this today.

Looks like I forgot a little bit of an update...

Basically, one of my 199 calipers seized up, so instead of just replacing the one (they were both used when I got them, no idea of the mileage) I went ahead and got 2 remanufactured units from Autozone. I also got new pads and rotors, just because.

All of this was still less than the $435 Firestone quoted me to replace the one caliper.

Then today I replaced my 7mge injectors with the stock 5vz injectors... Went with the brown top ones after reading/being advised against the silver earlier style injectors.

Installed without any problems, so far no CEL light yet, perhaps it was indeed my problem. If so, I owe BFAD a beer or 24.

I got the injectors here... After making sure it was not the same place Fightman got his. Shipping was fast, and they accepted my offer of $140.

Very clean and well done 4runner, one of my favorites on the forums.

I'm embarrassed that I missed this for so long! Thanks for the kind words, and let me know if you ever want to trade.... I would kill for your color.

Perhaps not kill, but definitely trade.

Very clean runner, looks great.

435! ... guess they thought you were born yesterday huh? Last time I was there the dude in front of me was buying 2 crappy passenger tires, an oil change and some other minor thing. It was like 465, I was like... um...

You said you were using the 7mge injectors? I believe they have the wrong impedance with our trucks, unless you had resistors built inline? Not sure if you would switch back, but I know the brown and blue top 2jzge and injectors are the ones to look for.
