Was thinking about going up there Saturday to camp.

I'm down for that- was going to plan my weekend trip today.

I'm hoping to get my bumper and winch this week though...so may want to try and install that on Saturday.

Got my tent on and let me tell you it was a ***** to bolt on the rail bolts on. My hands are raw from scraping the top of my fingers. I thought it would of been duck soup for me since I have skinny fingers but boy was wrong

Cut 3" off the frame ends and weld new caps on.

Like what kind of pillow? Because not all pillows are the same. I mean, you've got those real scratchy, hard sofa pillows that Grandmas like. I wouldn't want to ride one of those at all. Then you've got your pregnancy pillows, that you can ride just about anytime, even when you're not sleeping.

PS... would you say the difference is amazing?

That don't HAVE to be... But to have the right amount of strength to use the winch, they should be.

I think absaloms problem was he had old egg shaped bfg KOs, with too much air pressure, i dont really think thats a fair comparison to brand new c load duratracs. however smaller lighter tires are going to be better for high speed and since you can stuff them more without doing "modifications they can crawl too.

that being said bfg makes the ko2 in a c rating and 265/70r17, i just got some in 315s and I remember driving my truck in highschool and it had KOs on it and the ride sucked, the new KO2s are amazing in comparison and mine are e rated, and just as quite on highway as my old michelin lt 2 "quite highway ride" 265/70r16s. bfg has massively improved the on road ride of these things, and they perform even better offroad, with my old tires I was constantly hearing rocks flung against my undercarriage, but last night with these I didnt hear any at all.

thats enough to get a spare too.

Anyways good luck, also rust oleum truck bed liner is a perfect texture matcb for the skinny flares and my caps! let me know if you need anything printed its on the house. I feel shitty that you had to do so much work to get the caps how they needed to be.

Northwest Overland Rally

Had a great time the past few days out in Plain, WA for the Northwest Overland Rally with my wife, [MENTION=82154]GSPRunner[/MENTION], his girlfriend, and our dogs.

I cannot say enough of how awesome an event they put on. Worth every penny. I will plan to go every year from now on.

I didn't take many pictures, but here are a couple that I did take.

Day 2, we did a trail run up to Liberty with 49 freaking vehicles. Slow going, but still pretty fun. Got the chance to hop out and take some pictures when a Defender broke down in front of us.

At the end of the trail I led some folks to a "short cut" back to the highway to head back to camp. We stopped here to air back up.

On the trail it was HOT and with how slow we were moving I was seeing engine temps around 200-205 with the AC pumping, so I decided to turn it off and roll down the windows.

After the trail, I rolled the windows up and got the AC kicking again. The dogs were pleased.

Our neighbor at the event was also from BC.. LOTS of Canadians there.

There are a lot of great trails, but I am not sure of many events. Nothing else of this scale, I don't think.

You'll have to plan a trip down here, I can show you around some.
