That'd be sweet. I have almost a full month off starting august 14th and I'll be looking for some trips to do!
 
Another week, another camping trip. [MENTION=82154]GSPRunner[/MENTION] decided to put up with us again, so we headed down to Suttle Lake outside of Sisters, OR.

I literally did not take a single picture of my 4Runner.

I forgot my "sport" shades as my wife calls them, so I wore my Prada's to climb Black Butte. Holly Dog was getting pretty tired on the way down, so I carried her.

Another fun weekend! Glad we decided to head down there that was nice. The 9 hours on the road home today wasn't however.
 
Over the weekend I figured out just how far off my speedometer/odometer are by comparing traveled distance (measured via mile markers) to what the trip computer said I had traveled.

Every 14 miles of freeway, my trip computer showed 13. At 7 miles I was at 6.5 on the computer...

So I took 13 / 14 and got .92875, which comes out to a difference of 7.125%

Using that information I calculated mileage on a few tanks of gas and am MUCH happier about my fuel economy than in the past.

17.5mpg from Seattle to Salem. (Freeway at 70-75mph)

17.2mpg from Salem to Sisters (up Santiam Pass, then about 10 miles of forest service roads)

18.62mpg from Sisters to Salem (down Santiam Pass)

17.2mpg from Salem to Seattle (Freeway at 70mph)
 
Couple things coming up...

Saturday I'll be re-gearing from 4.10 to 4.30. I know that it's a tiny difference, but it's free, so I'll give it a shot.

In the suspension world...I'll be upgrading yet again here in the not-so-distant future. Something with reservoirs and some little adjustment knobs.



Anyone interested in some freshly rebuilt Icons?
