Just a quick recap...
You no longer own a boat, and haven’t since at least may of this year.
You do not know if your 4Runner is a 4speed or 5speed transmission until this afternoon.
After posting on another forum regarding Toyota ws trans fluid, a year ago, you still do not know what fluid to put in your transmission.
Your understanding of synthetic motor oil is lacking, at best.
Your confidence and arrogance in your ignorance, in the face of helpful and accurate information, is enduring.
If I left anything out, please let me know.

no, I'm in a $1.6 million dollar house in a gated community with a private dock slip. No mortgage but $800 a month for security, gardiners, paint house every other year.

Must be to only one on the planet...some kind of unicorn no doubt worth $50,000. Lol

My guess is, if he even owns a T4R, he can see the 4 on the shift lever and has deduced its got to be a 4speed.
Not counting the "D" for some reason? D is 5th gear BTW.

This Toyota tranny uses Type I-V. A340 = 4 Speed

The Toyota dealer who sold me my 4runner brand new in 2005 used Type T-IV (not WS) when they did a drain and fill (6 quarts on their receipt). The D/F was done at 100,000 miles.
I'm now at 150,000 miles and the tranny runs perfect.

The two different transmissions take different fluids.
Linked is the 2005 4Runner standard/optional equipment sheet. Page 5 is where I want you to highlight/circle the transmission option your 4R has.
