About to pull the trigger but which color?

I have black with the tan leather. To me it looks awesome. I originally wanted Salsa Red, but couldn't get it with the tan. And i love the Blizzard Pearl and the Magnetic Gray, but my mom and my brother both have those on there Toyotas. So, I opted for black. It's simple yet beautiful when clean. And it's a classic color that will be around forever.

But, every color looks awesome on the 4Runner. I went through the same thing. Just look through the owner's pic thread and see which one pops out to you. Always go with your first choice. It's your first choice for a reason :thumb3:

I have a mag grey LTD and love the color! I did consider black..but then my wife has a Black Pearl 2008 Honda Accord that I have to clean almost constantly (and polish too actually) + swirl marks! So I figured that I would save myself the trouble and maintaining the black color and instead got the grey.
BP- Nah- found that color boring
Silver- Nice but common (I know I know..grey is too)
Salsa red- not my thing
Shoreline Blue- I would probably look into this if I were to do this all over again!

Oh, and to add- just get the color that you really like. You are going to have to live with the choice of color for at least 10 years (since this is a T4R we are talking about), so get the color that YOU like and WANT

Just a word of caution. I had my Jetta for 14 years. It started off as Tornado Red. It ended up as a faded pinkish sorta color.

Well okay, it wasn't pink. But it was definately faded A LOT. Not that the T4R would do that, but it turned me off on red cars for life. Apparantly, the color red has the most pigments of any color and therefore fades the worse. That's what I was told, anyway.

Exactly... Gray was my first choice but I sometimes think black would have been better, but that's just because you always admire what you don't have. If I would have gone with black I'm sure I would now be thinking the gray would have been better.

I went through the same thing when I bought mine. I test drove the black and BP, and as much as I LOVE the black it was dusty upon the return to the dealer ship. The black is very nice but im to anal about keeping my cars clean and seeing swirl marks, water marks and dust an hr after washing it drives me nuts. If it was Metalic black it would of been different as I think it masks the imperfections better. I Took the BP out for a test drive (but when I first saw it I knew I wanted the BP anyway) that sealed it for me.

I have owned 6 new black vehicles since i graduated from college. I went to the dealership thinking I was going to purchase a black or a silver one. But after seeing them in person.......the Pearl stood out with that "GLOW" in the sun. Go to a dealer that has all of the colors in stock and pick one. arty:

I always want what I can't get: Blizzard Pearl in a TE or Salsa Red in LTD; so in light of that I would go Blizzard Pearl in LTD or Salsa Red in TE or SR5. :vader:

Check out what you can do with the Bright Silver Trail. I will tell you what, after having Black, Charcoal, and Burgandy, This Silver is sooo Clean and easy to keep Clean, even when its dirty. Highly Reccommended on this color. Also, the Trail is way More Rugged than the Limited and you can Run 2 Wheel Drive. No Regrets Here.:thumb3:

I know there will be some bias in this poll based on what each of you chose, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a new 5th gen and can't make up my mind on which color. If you could do it all over again, which color would you choose?

I was originally thinking salsa red but I started thinking I might get tired of it and it might be a little more difficult to sell if I wanted to get rid of it. Then I started thinking black but I know how much work it is to keep it looking nice. So then I started thinking blizzard pearl or silver but my current car is silver and my wife's Sienna Limited is blizzard pearl. Can you all help a brother out?

Given the KDSS, multi-mode, crawl control, and 17" wheels, how is the Trail more rugged than the LTD? Is there other stuff under the hood or chassis that makes it more rugged? Any bits of info would be greatly appreciated.:shrug:

Rear Diff Lock, Bilstein Shocks Stock if you are not going to lift it, Manual 4 Wheel Drive Shifter vs Full time 4 Wheel Drive. Trail runs around in 2 wheel drive until you want it in all 4. Fuel economy might be a little better stock compared to the Limited, less of a load only in 2wd. I Installed Custom Leather and found one with Nav. I like the rear Cargo Tray as well, I use it all the time. Plus Party Mode is cool. The Hood Scoop Gives it a Stout Look as well:guitar3:
