AC compressor noise

AC compressor is making a noise like tocka tocka tocka only when ac is on. I evacuated system, did leak test and refilled. Blows cold air. I think it could be clutch bearing but not sure. Should I just wait until it dies and then have system flushed and replace compressor or fix it now? It doesn't seem like clutch can be bought sparate from compressor. Thanks

Only risk in doing this is if the compressor 100% fails it can contaminate your system, and you can damage more plus have to do a flush. If you replace it now you can usually just replace the compressor and recharge it.

Is the clutch replaceable separately?
