Adjust Bluetooth Micropohe Gain

Does anyone know how to adjust the gain of the Bluetooth microphone on a 2010 Toyota 4runner?

I found a service bulletin from Toyota (T-SB 0097) that tells exactly how to do what I am looking for. "Audio Bluetooth System Outgoing Call Volume Adjustment"

Unfortunately it doesn't apply to my vehicle.

My microphone is chopping off my voice if I speak above a whisper.

I am also getting a lot of white noise.

This seems to be a fairly common complaint.

There has to be someway of making this adjustment, like the TSB I described above.

Any help would be appreciated

FWIW, I had the dealer replace mine under warranty, and it did nothing to improve it. If you find out that there is a way to adjust it, please let us all know.

Where's the mic located? Not the most elegant solution, but maybe put a piece of tape over the the microphone to dampen the noise.

Anyone know where to find the service manual for the bluetooth system for our vehicles?

The instructions listed for the "Camry" "Solairs" etc instructions don't work for the bluetooth system in our 4Runners?

Any help would be appreciated.
