when vehicle models are changed for the following year, does the manufacturer sell off tooling and dies to independent companies to make aftermarket parts? for example, parts for a 01 are no longer made, but still available. toyoda does not make rear bumper pieces for these, but i can get it aftermarket. who is making them and with what tooling, dies? is the stamping equipment from toyoda or did the chinese copy it?
