air compressor , mounted underhood

Just bought a Firestone 24-3582-9210 Airbag compressor at a surplus store. Got a real good deal on the compressor. Now I am just waiting on the pressure switch to come in and I will get it mounted... just in time for my trip to OBX. I am still a little concerned with the stock 20's on the soft sand but I guess I will see how they do when they are aired down. I guess for just inflating tires there is no need to add an accumulator tank?

I bought a 450P a couple weeks ago too!

I've had a 450P for about a year, fantastic pump! I'm waiting for the plastic air hose to die, but so far so good....

You'll be fine.. I've seen a cpl with OEM 20's out here.. just make sure you air down

i bought this one at Pepboys just before leaving for the outer banks.. it works great! quick fill up compared to the model below (1040) that airs up truck tires in 4 minutes. the extra $20 justified a quicker fillup.

Great cost effective method. I too have the same pep boys special that I've used more than a few times. Worked well and was not too painfully slow from 20 to 42 psi

How long does it take per tire approx?
