Air outlet noise

It just happened again this morning. Seems as if if it sits overnight in the cold garage it keeps happening.

I also have a 2014, but I live in Houston and it rarely gets cold enough here, so I never noticed any strange AC noise. This morning though it was 29° and the 4R was parked outside. I did hear a faint buzzing sound from the passenger side that I had never noticed before.

I'll give it a try tomorrow AM. We'll be in the 20s tomorrow here in NJ and I parked outside. I listened for it earlier today and heard it faintly, but only if I put the it in ACC (not starting it) and on the lowest fan speed. It sounded like the typical noise a servo makes.

I used to be an engineer and have written a lot of firmware for motor control applications. Unless it sounds buzzy (like a cell phone vibrating on a wooden table), scratchy (like a rat trying to get out of a brown paper bag), or doesn't actually cycle, I wouldn't be concerned.

the noise from the fan everyone has.. u can hear it more on a lower speed.. i think the noise that the OP is talking about is when he switches the circulation vents which has nothing to do with the ticking the blower fan makes that you can hear at low settings

This is correct. It looks like it's normal I'm at ease. Thanks to Toyota Corp as well for confirming that it's normal.
