All 2010 4runners delayed to dealers until 2010

I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as a 2009 Trail ... someone please correct me if I'm misreading this post.

I can't believe how poorly Toyota is handing this debut. This is my next vehicle ... IF I can fit comfortably in the driver's seat (I'm 6'3"). I just need about 20 seconds, and they'll have my deposit or they won't.

To be honest I don't think you can be comfortable in the 4Runner unless you get a model where you can raise the driver's seat.

I know the limited comes with this option, but don't think (could very well be wrong) the others do.

I am 6ft and would not have gotten the new 4Runner without this. I tested the GX which allows this and that worked great so figure the same implementation for the 4Runner.

Now I am spoiled driving the Nissan Armada, but still

yes, indeed. at the moment, the canadian '10 4runners seem to have a better setup than the states... go figure.

It's our reward for not getting the 4th gen trail and urban runners.

"Please be advised that there is a temporary hold on all 2010 4Runner shipments and wholesale deliveries because of a standard parts supply issue. It is anticipated that all 2010 4Runner vehicles will be released for shipment and wholesale during the third week of November."

This may be the nail in the coffin on a 4R for me.

I swung by the local Toyota parts distribution center/regional office in Mansfield, MA. They had at least 6 2010 4Runners in their lots. Unfortunately, they were all Limited's (white, black, silver, grey-best color for Limited). I was hoping to see a Trail Edition in person.

Saw one on the road last night, had to do a double take and didn't have enough time to take a picture of it. Going to the dealership today to pick up my union for the rear diff mod, I'll check to see if they have any on the lot.

I just went to my local dealer and had the fleet manager look it up. I was fortuanate enough to see an SR5 in person but he would not let me sit in it as it was for training puposes only. It was wierd though it was branded sr5 but it had the leather seats! I did a double take. Anyways I liked the look of it but he said for me to get a 4x4 silver limited I was looking at at least 3 to 6 months in So Cal. The Invoice for it was $39,102. I sneaked a peak when he walked out of his office for a few minutes.

I'm not in the Central Atlantic region and these aren't vehicles for sale. They are training vehicles.

I spoke to a sales manager at Dars Cars (owns several dealers in Maryland area) and they are still expecting some SR5s and LTDs to arrive around Thanksgiving. I didn't press them to see whether they will be allowed to sell them or whether they will have to hold them until the Monroney parts issue is resolved.

But, the sales manager checked the database and said no luck on the TE in the Cent. Atlantic Region for 7 weeks.

That is interesting. Our dealer drove us over to theirs and we sat in it etc. I figured that was the darn point - training and showing customers since they don't have the car in stock.

You can get leather in an SR5 -- according to the Toyota online configurator.

That would be really cool. In my zip code it does not let me build the SR5 with leather.

Guess Toyota needs to work out the bugs on there "build your own" website.

I had the same problem when I used the "Microsoft Silverlight" software. I removed Silverlight and then it worked as it should. Down at the bottom it says ....If Microsoft Silverlight cannot be installed or if you are having difficulties installing Silverlight, please click here to access our alternate site. I used that and it worked fine. Hope that helps!:cowboy:

That's the same one that I have money down on.

The Trail Editions are re****ed rare so no telling what the situation will be with them.

But.... some dealers and people are reporting that the LTDs and SR5s may be in as early as next week in parts of the US.

I booked my airplane tickets to California already so if it comes in early now it doesn't help me any.

But... if it doesn't arrive before Christmas I guess I'm "stuck" with a new Outback.
