I went to lowes and got new bolts and nuts for the mounts that were about 1 inch shorter. The ones that came with my tent were too long in the front of the rack, and would have dug into my roof if I did not get different hardware. Pretty easy fix.

Well darn, thanks for the update. You planning to move them above the bar now? I think I will. They are so low profile it should be fine.
In other news: I got my Plano Field Locker dual gun box on.
Just curious, what awning mount is that?
I just put my awning on using the ARB Universal brackets and well it sits too high that I can't get into my garage. Doh!!!
Got my rack installed yesterday after 7 week wait. They sent wrong color crossbars and missing hardware which had me pretty upset after such a wait. Props to CBI for excellent customer service after the fact. Rather than wait for new bars since camping season is almost over I installed anyways while they ship new bars.
I'll 2nd the opinion of RTT install pains on this rack and take it up to #$^%!@ nightmare level. I will be keeping two rails mounted to RTT at all times now and just undo from rack that way - bolting rails to RTT while mounted was damn near impossible.

wanted black crossrails.
The CBI transition is a ****fest. they put my order on hold.. without telling me for waiting for my light bar bracket for 2 weeks..
2 weeks later when i ask them if brackets are in, they say they are, but now we are out of black crossbars, and it'll be another few weeks..
WTF is that, in the mean time there are plenty of other people that use the same length crossbars, they have received their orders around when mine should have shipped out after the light bar brackets arrived.. They all have black crossbars.
So now i'm sitting around, waiting for a reply on when my order will ship, for a order that had a estimated ship date of 8/8 on the invoice.
So CBI transition, not going well at all.
Agree with everything you said but this, I probably only got my rack when I did because they F'd up my order and sent clear crossbars instead of black. If they shipped black like ordered I would prolly be in the same waiting situation as you.
It's a nice rack but I wish I woulda got a Frontrunner to avoid the nonsense.

I kinda feel the same although I didn't have the same amount of issues that you guys are having. When I got mine it came with the wrong size and odd number of spacers. I ended up just going to Home Depot to buy some washers to add a little more gap so the rear wouldn't contact my roof. I got in on the group buy during the winter so the price was definitely right for what it is but I know when I go full length it will be Rhino Rack or Ezi-Awn K9. Plus Equipt is only 30 minutes from where I am where I can get the rack, parts and they aren't running a mickey mouse operation there.
My guess is that when CBI acquired them there were still a ton of backlogged orders. It's probably going to be another 6 months before they can fully catch up and get streamlined. Still it almost sounds like it's being handled by a small time operation. Just sucks to hear others not getting their racks in a timely manner or getting the right parts. With Front Runner, Rhino Rack, or Ezi-Awn the lead times are minimal and you know you'll get all the right parts to install it.
Thanks!! I may try to flip the brackets I have right now upside down and see how that goes. Hopefully it'll still clear the doors. I need about 2 more inches (heard that one before
) to clear my garage.

All the orders before 6/20 are supposed to be fulfilled by the original owner. The newer orders after that are fulfilled by CBI. My order is a CBI fulfilled order that shouldn't have this massive backlog. I thought CBI was a big operation, but sure seems like they are running this out of someones garage based on how my order is getting pushed back again and again. For things that can have been avoided...
Besides wrong crossbars I had wrong size and odd number of spacers also, 9x 1" and 9x 7/8. Also, if I'm nitpicking my powdercoat is crap too, the Aluminum wasn't pretreated very well so streaks are obvious - almost like a paint brush.
I now don't think CBI branding will improve their production, the rack still ships from Zack in SLC while CBI is physically in ID handling logistics and support.
Zack in SLC is still fulfilling the orders under CBI fyi

Sucks reading about the decline in service and quality. This is what happens when things blow up.
Glad I ordered my rack back in late 2015. Superb CNC cuts and evenly textured powder coating. Spoke with Zach on the phone a couple of times about how to mount certain pelican boxes, maxtrax, etc. He always answered calls/emails and was prompt in getting out extra accessories I needed.

I mounted a arb awning to the prinsu rack using the universal attachment doohickey thing made by rhino rack. Its not exactly the same as the one pictured a few posts above, but they do make one that will work with the prinsu and the arb awning.
The thing is, because the prinsu is so low profile, the arb awning will sit pretty high, in relation to the rack itself. I also ended up buying 2 sets of the rhino rack arb bracket, for added security (for a total of 4 mounting points on the rack itself).
Good thing about the rhino rack mounting bracket, is its beefy, really beefy. I wasn't concerned that the bracket would break, but that the fasteners would loosen over time (hence why I used 2 sets).
As with my previous posts on prinsu, I'm not a fan of their customer service/wait time either, but I've said my piece on that matter.

noooooooo...prinsu looks way better then frontrunner. it'll be worth it when it comes in. Every time i get home and see it sitting in the driveway i'm like dang, wifey has a better looking car then me.

I agree, it looks way better. Regardless of any issues people have, CBI customer service is really good - Kenny will take care of you (overnighted my missing spacers - or rather, had Zack do it).
It's easy for me to get all disgruntled after a lengthy wait, rack is a cornerstone mod for my build and camping so my patience was dwindling with the warm weather.

14 weeks. This is troubling. I ordered a 7/8 rack 3 1/2 weeks ago and asked how long it would take because the website said 4-6 weeks. They told it would be close to 6 weeks. If I would have read this then, I doubt I would have ordered it especially with people missing parts too.

For my own personal needs this one checks off all the right boxes regarding build, looks, and functionality.
That said, I placed my order for a full length rack with black side rails and bare aluminum cross bars. Order was placed August 25th and my expected ship date is October 13th. 7 weeks.
Honestly, the wait time doesn't bother me too much. As crappy as it is, it's almost something I've grown use to now when ordering custom fabricated parts. My Hefty sliders for instance are going to take 8 weeks to be completed.
Anyway, as long as I'm not missing any parts I think I'll be extremely happy with this rack. I guess I'll find out soon enough!
